Epcot till 9 MK till 11?

We will be at Epcot this Saturday! - May 18th.
It closes at 9 but MK is open till 11.
I would REALLY like to catch Spectromagic and fireworks at MK as the following Saturday night will be swamped for Memorial day weekend. So the question is:
How long will it take to get from Epcot (at closing) to MK and will I get there in time for the parade at 9:30??

That is definitely a gamble unless you leave early from Epcot if you are using Disney transportation... I am not sure you could make from one park to the other if you drove.. I would say the best case scenario might be 45 minutes.. if you made all the proper connections.. Unless someone else has a secret fast way to go... I am thinking you will not make it in a 1/2 hour..

I am going to move this to the transporation board to see if they have some insight for you..

Are you planning on seeing Illuminations? When Epcot closes at 9:00 Illuminations starts. Illuminations probably ends around 9:20. If you are seeing Illuminations, making the MK parade at 9:30 would be impossible. If you don't want to see Illuminations you could leave Epcot at 8:30 and make it to the MK in time. However, you probably won't get a great spot for the parade.

Back in the day when the MK was open until midnight during the summer there were many a night that we left Epcot after Illuminations and went to the MK to see the fireworks and parade. That was when they had the parade at 9 and 11 and the fireworks at 10. It took about 30 - 40 minutes to get from Epcot to the MK using our own car from the BC or BW. Not sure how much time it would take using WDW buses. If you plan on taking the monorail to the TTC and then to the MK it would probably take longer - including the time to walk thru Epcot and get to the monorail. If you are in WS you might consider using the International Gateway and hopping a bus to the MK from the YC/BC or BW.

According to Disney website (and you know how reliable that is!) the fireworks are at 10pm and they're also doing a later spectromagic at 11pm. I don't know how late you were planning to stay up and whether or not you have young children, but if the schedule is true then you have another option!

Spectromagic 9:00pm, 11:00pm

Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks 10:00pm
