It will be my very first time at WDW next month, (been to DL many times :goodvibes ) and one of the things I'm really looking forward to is Epcot and the World Showcase. I can't wait to see all of the pavillions and the street performances. Can somebody please tell me what kind of performances I might see? I know that alot of people have talked about the Living Statues, and was wondering what else we might enjoy. Another question is for those of you who have been during the holidays...Do the Santas Around the World take over all of the performances? I hope not. And while I'm at it, do the other parks have street performers that you like also??? Thanks so much for any info! :flower:

yes other parks have some as well-there is a great juggling act in dinoland at ak-at epcot there are musical groups-"mo'rockin" at Morocco and story parodies at UK and Italy-in Japan the play those big drums and kid gymnasts in china. I was coaxed into being King Arthur back in 2002. I'm sure I missed a lot of others. have fun :Pinkbounc

Take time and watch the takio drummers in Japan. They are awesome. Also watch for the street performers at Disney Studios. I forget what they are called but my two DD couldn't get enough of them. AT MK we met Pecos Pete in front of the riverboat one trip. Just slow down at enjoy the CM's they have become the favorite part of our trips.

Imaginum (the living statues at Epcot) did not have their contract renewed. They no longer perform at WDW. Go to Vegas if you want to see them.

I believe that Steve Soares has a site that lists the entertainment options around the various parks and approximate performance times. Epcot has so many choices. In addition to Morocco, UK and Canada have musical groups; Living Statues is wonderful if it's still available; we enjoyed a mime in France during our visit last year as well as the Japanese drummers and Chinese acrobats; the Japanese candy lady is also very entertaining.

You are so lucky to be going during the holiday season! We found the Santas around the world to be very entertaining along with the holiday story tellers. They also run on a schedule and, no, they did not replace the other entertainment options as far as we could tell. Also, the Candlelight Processional is not to be missed! We spent two days of our quick 4-day weekend at Epcot last December and we still didn't catch everything. Enjoy! :wave2:

You absolutely must catch a set by the #1 musical act at WDW as voted by the readers of Disney Magazine, Off Kilter! They are super talented, handsome, funny, Celtic rockers with a bagpiper frontman! They have been winning fans from around the world at the Epcot Canada pavilion for over 8 years.

Alrighty, now you must go right next door to the UK pavilion to see the #2 musical act as voted by Disney Mag, British Invasion! Amazing Beatles look-alike, sound-alike band that will have you singing along to every song!

Then dash into the Rose & Crown Pub in the UK for a pint to see Pam Brody, a cute little lady that plays piano & sings, tells stories and chats up the crowd.

Oh my gosh, there are so many excellent performers around the World Showcase! Just get an entertainment schedule when you enter the park & check the show times.

You can also check the website below to do some homework before you leave home!

Enjoy! :sunny:

I really like watching Sergio, the juggler in Italy. Both times I watched him, he had me in his act. It was a lot of fun and he's super nice. :sunny:

Mo'Rockin is a lot of fun to watch too. :cool1:

The chair act in France always amazes me and is one of my absolute favorites. It's called Serveur Amusant. The performers are really funny and very talented. You'll be amazed at how high up the performer is.

Make sure you watch the Dragon Legend Acrobats in China. I couldn't believe some of the things they could do. One girl is on a unicycle and while still on it, she puts a stack of bowls on her foot, kicks them into the air and they land on her head. :earseek: It's really amazing.

Make it a point to see Miyuki in the japanese pavillion. She makes animal figures, by request, with candy and gives them to you for free. Watching her do some amazing things makes it mesmorizing. She performs for around 30min every hour or so. dont miss it!

Everyone mentioned a lot of good choices but no one has mentioned a couple of my favorites. First, on Future World side, you have to watch the Jamminators. The way they whale away on those trash cans is amazing to watch. Then, over in the World Showcase, go to the American Pavillion and go inside. I know you asked about the outside performers but I try to make a point to go see The Voices of Liberty everytime I am there. Hope you enjoy.

Wow!! Thanks for all the responses!!! :goodvibes I can hardly wait. I will check out the steve soares site also. Too bad the Living Statues are gone, but it sounds like there is PLENTY to see without them!! :earseek: I love all of these ideas. Thanks again! :flower:

Over at Epcot, be sure to catch at least one or two World Showcase Players shows. They do different shows over at United Kingdom and Italy.

At Studios, check out the Streetmosphere performers. They can usually be found in the afternoon (Hollywood Public Works guys out on the 1/2 hr, Citizens of Hollywood out on the hr).

Of course, if you're allergic to comedy be sure to have an epi-pen handy!
