any reviews on the storytellers this year? I want to hit a few, but not sure which ones to prioritize.

Thanks!

many of them have been there for years, same stories.
The new one this year is in Germany and they are a rock/punk band that, to me, was just way plain loud and didn't really incorporate enough Christmas storytelling traditions to their set, so I listened for about 5 minutes and left.
As to preference, my #1 is La Befana from Italy, followed by Las Posadas in Mexico, Sigrid and Juliennessen(sp?) in Norway, Father Christmas UK and Pere Noel in France
I also LOVE Joyful the gospel choir, they talk about Kwanzaa, Christmas and Hanukkah during their sets

For younger kids, Norway is our ALL-TIME favorite. It's funny and interactive.

We LOVE Norway as it truly incorporates Norwegian tradition and lore. It is interactive with the crowd and fully entertaining. I have to agree with the PP about Germany. For goodness sake, Germany has rich history regarding Christmas, but the band is just loud rock music. Not bad, but not Christmas. We also loved the Hanukkah storyteller and music.

The storytellers in Italy, France, and Norway are our favorites. We also like Great Britain, China, Japan, and Chanukah. We were just there and did not get to see the singing group in Canada but liked it a few years ago.

The last two years I have been very disappointed with Germany for the storyteller. I’ve been going over the holidays since 2000 and Germany has had the most changes in that time. Personally, I really enjoyed Helga and thought she was great. I even liked St. Nicholas which talked about how the first Christmas tree and ornaments came to be. Just wish they could bring something like her back. They have such great traditions.

We got to see the Storytellers for the first time last weekend!!! LaBefana was my favorite. I loved her story, and the way she kept the children sitting up front so involved. Father Christmas in the UK was also wonderful with the caroling. Only got to see just a quick minute or two of Norway and saw just a glimpse of Pere Noel in France from the Gateway as we were leaving. Seeing these have always been a dream of mine. :) I really enjoyed them!!!
