I'm super excited for the news released today. There will be two scavenger hunts this spring. I'm especially happy about a Spike the bee themed garden hunt. Spike the bee is one of my favorite Disney characters and finding anything to do with him is very rare. Kudos to the person who decided it was time to dust Spike off and reintroduce him.
I do wonder why the Egg hunt is for such a short time frame though.

Does anyone know what sort of "surprise" to expect after completing the hunt?

Or, to rephrase, if we buy just one map and do this as a family, are my kids going to be fighting over the "surprise" at the end?

The surprise for the egg hunt is a plastic egg like the ones pictured. One per map. The surprise for the Pollen Nation hunt isn't known yet, but I'm guessing a packet of flower seeds, or a pin.

Oh, so just an egg with a character design on it, like the ones you're looking for in the hunt? Nothing consumable inside?

Maybe we'll do one of each, and if there's fighting I will keep the prizes!

Thanks, I am a little surprised it is such a short period of time. Good to know.

Yeah, I was a little sad the egg hunt ended early as we're going 1st week of May. But we'll do the bee since last year we did the egg hunt. We'll still hunt for the eggs because it's fun but we won't buy the map. It's just an empty plastic egg.

Oh my gosh Spike! Yay! And yikes we were planning to start the egg hunt on April 1, guess we better finish that day. Thank you for posting this!

I feel like the April 1st date was probably a surprise to a lot of people. At least there's Spike ❤️

I’m sad the egg hunt is over that early.
Do you think in mid April the eggs will still be out even if the “hunt” is over? My son may still have fun hunting for them and I can just not tell him there ever was a prize. Lol.

We've done it the last 2 years in early March.:flower1: Some of the hiding spots last spring were pretty tough, but we found them all! :flower:
This year.... sadly.... the Egg hunt starts long after we are gone! Can't figure out why they shortened it so much??
Oh, wait..... now I see.... it makes sense!! I should have read all the way to the bottom of the page! The Egg-hunt runs March 16-April 1, for Easter....
BUT.... the Spike's hunt runs the full length of the Flower and Garden!! HAPPY again!!

I can’t seem to get excited about the Spike hunt until I see more info about it and see if it will hold my 5 year old’s attention or not... I think the eggs he’d have been into.

We've done the Festival of the Animation scavenger hunt--prize was a Figment Art magnet, and the Food and Wine Remy scavenger hunt--prize was a Remy keychain. We get a map for each kid so that they each get a prize at the end.

I was wondering if it starts out with the Spike scavenger hunt and then switches to the Egg hunt for 2 weeks then back to Spike or will there be a 2 week period where it has both the Spike hunt and the Egg hunt.

We've also done the Food and Wine Remy scavenger hunt (2016 I think) and we got a pin. There were a few different designs (different vegetables) and my kids got to pick which they wanted.

Edited to add: When we did the F&W scavenger hunt in 2016 the cost was $10ish per map. I see last year was less expensive at 5.99 and the prize was a keychain. Since the Spike scavenger is the same price (5.99), it's probably not a pin.

I had assumed if you were there for those two weeks there would be overlap, but I don't actually know.

It seems that they will both be running at the same time, but like others I don't know for sure.
