I am thinking about letting dd pick a pearl in Epcot, on our first day at the parks. If we do that Santa will probably have a cage necklace in her stocking a few days later (we are going over Christmas).

But if we do that, I'd really like to let ds have an equally cool souvenir that day. He's eleven. His primary interest in life is baseball and he's not super into Star Wars, not into Legos and not super into anything in particular disney related that I can think of.

Any suggestions for a cool Epcot souvenir for an eleven year old boy?

my boys love all things in the Japan store from Pokemon to other anime stuff and just some cool bits, my guess is you would find something in there, they are 12 & 10

I know after the Figment ride there was a store with alot of Discovery items,, different experimentation things.. Lab stuff, chemistry, learning things. nothing really Epcot like, though maybe I dont recall that

If it doesn't have to be from Epcot maybe you could take the short walk from Epcot to ESPN on the Boardwalk. They have a gift shop at the restaurant with lots of sports related things.

When DS was 9 he got this sheet with all different coins from the EPCOT countries in it (encased in hard plastic). Then in Feb. we bought one as a bday gift for younger DS's friend. Not all the countries had it but we found it in France.

Another suggestion if he eats candy or chocolate, is to let him buy a piece of candy (or chocolate:thumbsup2) from each country in WS. I realize dd is technically only getting one thing, but that's all I can think of lol!

We stayed at the Beach Club in 2012.

At International Gateway, just before you leave the park, there's one last gift shop.

In it, we found a matted print for my son. I forget just what it was; I know my daughter found one of Buzz and Woody. (She's a huge Toy Story fan.) I want to say it was the WDW Railroad from the Magic Kingdom. (Sorry, I'm too lazy to walk up 2 flights of stairs to see it.)

But it might make a unique momento.

You would be surprised at how many cool non-Disney things each country has. My 10 year old son had zero problem at finding "cool" things to buy. Japan was his favorite with the Pokémon stuff. But Morocco had wooden camels, UK had some soccer stuff, each country had a plush animal he likes (polar bear and puffin in Norway, Bald Eagle in America etc..) They also have flag from each country. Mexico has carved animals and some other neat stuff.

We bought a Speed Racer mug in Japan several years ago. But I guess he hasn't even heard of speed racer, and doesn't drink coffee of tea, so I guess I offer nothing of value! :)

At Downtown Disney there is a store where you can get a personalized wooden bat. It can be specially designed and engraved with what your son wants, including his signature. We bought one for my baseball obsessed son and he loves it! It is Little League legal also, although the oz cannot be changed so it is too heavy for him. One of the best souvenirs he has from Disney.

If your son is into sports and likes soccer, the countries have soccer balls for their MSL teams. My son had the best time collecting them during trips. They will sell it inflated or deflated if you are flying.

With the World Cup going on they will also have other choices. We would usually buy our son one, let his play with it while we were at the resort and then have it deflated before we left.

They are made well and he still has his.

For Epcot, we will often let the kids pick one snack item at each country. It also helps as DH and I tour each country....they are preoccupied searching for their snack and deciding on which one. :)

My 10 year old son just bought a chinese yo-yo at the pavillion this week. It's his favorite souvenier
