Hi All! T-Minus 17 days till we leave for our family trip. Travelling will be Me, DH and DD (3 1/2 yr). I'm worried I'm attempting to jam too much in. My DD main objective is meeting princesses and riding Frozen. Mine is enjoying the Flower and Garden show and riding the "thrill" rides- solo. So we will be splitting up a bit to accomplish this. I would love to add in the bee scavenger hunt, but I think this is maxed out, maybe??

9am Frozen Ever After/Meet Anna and Elsa Norway
10am FP Journey into Imagination (9:50-10:50) Future World West
11am FP Nemo & Friends (10:55-11:55) Future World West
12am Eat Lunch @ Sunshine Seasons ( Future World, Land Pavilion) or small bites @ Outdoor Kitchen?
1pm FP Frozen Ever After (12:20-1:20) Norway
Soarin (12:30-1:30) Future World West
Squeeze test track in Single rider line? Meet them in WS

2pm- 8pm WorldShowcase/Meet Princesses
Dinner at Via Napoli?
9pm Illuminations Fireworks Show World Showcase

Is this a doable schedule? Anything I should change?

I would do Soarin before leaving The Land instead of leaving to go to Norway and then backtracking. That's a lot of ground to cover. You might also plan for time to see the fish and Turtle Talk before you leave the Seas. If you can make your FP for Frozen later in the day, perhaps just before you start the WS touring, that would probably be better.

I think that should be easily doable and probably with time to hit a few other rides. Once you tap for the FEA FP see about getting a 4th FP for Soarin' or TT.

I guess I should have updated that- I will be staying in Future world solo to do Soarin and hopefully TT. Just my DH and DD will be heading to Norway then into a Princess line in WS. But I will check FP to see if I can move Frozen back so we can do the fish and Crush. Thank you!

To me it's not how much you want to do so much as how long you'll be there, open to close is 12 hours, which can be hard on adults let alone children. Does your child nap (and nap well) in a stroller? If your kid doesn't nap any more (and mine didn't at that age) you should probably schedule a afternoon break, even if she doesn't sleep at your hotel room it's still a few quiet hours in A/C on a comfy bed (which coincidentally tends to induce naps...).

PS - We'll be there about the same time, check out my siggy

oh, good call!! And maybe only needing 1 will increase my chances.

she doesn't nap, typically. But last year she stroller nap and missed ALL of Festival of Fantasy parade ( and wasn't happy about it). So we are planning to go back to the hotel in the afternoon, if needed and coming back at night, We are staying at AOA.

Forgive me, being a rookie, what is siggy? haha

Sorry, signature - the stuff that posts under the message for those users that set them up. Usually includes their names, and on the DIS many also put trip count downs and list some or all of their previous trips. In my case I was pointing out that we are going in 15 days! :hyper:

ooo, how do you add those? I have been trying to figure it out. It's your DD 1st trip? how old is she? This will be my DD 4th trip and she isn't even 4... and she is HOOKED. I think we have created a monster. Prior to this upcoming trip, we have only ever gone to MK, so I'm a pro at that park. But this trip we are doing AK and Epcot. So I feel like I have A LOT to learn. Are you guys staying on property?

If you go to the upper right hand of your screen, hover your mouse over your username. One of the top options will be "signature" you can add anything you want. Count down timers have to be created on a 3rd party website and linked in as a picture/image. I did mine ages ago so I can't remember exactly how I did it though!

Yes, this is her first trip, she turned 6 in February. We're staying at the Dolphin, which is on property (it's an Epcot resort actually) but is not a Disney owned hotel. It's owned by Sheraton/Westin. It has a lot of the same perks as the true Disney hotels though, and location can't be beat! It's our first stay at that hotel, we got it free on points so pretty hard to pass up!

I'm totally being a creeper and reading your Pre-Trip report right now! I think we would get along great, while I am not a travel agent ( I was a Exec assistant and one point scheduling travel) I do enjoy planning trips. And my spreadsheet looks VERY similar to yours. HAHA.

Hey, I'm the one who put my life all out there for people to see, can't complain if people actually read it! And I get along with everyone (I also take bribes...).

And my motto is: If you can't put something in a spreadsheet, well really what's the point then? ;)

I'm a little confused. Do you, personally, have a FP+ for Frozen at 12:20 but aren't planning on riding it? If so, I would try switching your own Frozen FP+ to Soarin around 12:30 so you can just go on after you eat lunch. After that, you can try for a TT FP+ for yourself or just ride it single rider and then meet DD and DH in WS.

I don't have a FP for Frozen, just DD and DH. while they head to Norway, I'll use my FP for Soarin and hopefully ride TT in single rider. Although we were all going to RD Frozen and meeting Anna and Elsa, then head back to do Figment. Too much walking??

Oh, ok, got it!

It is a lot of walking, IMHO. I'm guessing DD wants to ride FEA twice? If not, why not just do FW when you enter and then DD and DH can head to Norway after lunch, do the FEA FP+ and meet all of the princesses, including Anna and Elsa then?

OP - When you do Nemo & Friends, stay around a little and explore the aquarium as well as Crush like PP have said. There is a little play area inside and it is nice and cool - a great place to let your DD explore. Try not to have to backtrack - Epcot can require a lot of walking. I have a feeling you all want to do FEA and Anna/Elsa together at RD? DH and DD may decide they don't need to do FEA again - they can spend time exploring the Innoventions and exploring the garden areas while you do your rides. I don't think you have too much in your plan. Have fun!
