Hey everybody. I've never stayed at Boardwalk, and am curious how Boardwalk guests handle Epcot rope drop. Is there a way to get to the front of the park? I know the walking path and boat take you to the International Gateway, but how about to the front of the park for a 9am or EMH rope drop? Thanks so much for any help!!

I think you'll have to take a bus since the World Showcase opens at a different time then the front of the park. :confused3

I have read here in the past that you can enter through the International gateway for RD or EMH and there are CMs that direct you towards FW where you wait for the RD.

You might want to post this question on the regular theme park strategy board for clarification.

No buses from the Epcots resorts to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. You go in Worldshow case Entrance & walk to front of parks. They have the WS roped off. :)

There is a concurrent rope drop at the international gateway. You just walk by Britain and Canada to get back to the main park (no turning right). We did it last August when we we were staying at BCV

Interesting...so if we were trying to be the first on some attractions, like Soarin, it's a pretty big disadvantage to come from the Boardwalk area at rope drop it seems.

Not always ;) When we were there in Sept we did rope drop at the IG and the CM and security guard let us in a little before rope drop. They said to make up for having to walk so far ;) .

It is a slight disadvantage to get to Soarin' and a somewhat larger one for Mission Space or Test Track. But, this only means that you will arrive at these attractions a couple minutes after those who enter the park from the front.

Truthfully we made it to soarin slightly after people from the Main gate and the wait was still nothing( but this was in Sept not peak season).I never saw the IG as a real disadvantage but I tend not to do commando style park touring anymore since I have a small child.

The folks who get to Soarin' first come from the front entrance and run/walk as fast as the CM's let them. Folks coming from the IG will not be first, but will get there with the main pack and have a *much* nicer trip without the hoards.

Unless you want the thrill of being first, the extra minutes just aren't that bad.

We have done the back entrance rope drop at Epcot from the YC and the BW many times and they let you in about 10 minutes before the front entrance so you can make your way over to Soarin

Thanks for posting this question - I was wondering the same thing. We want to hit Soarin first thing when we stay at BWV in June :cool1:
