I have read that there are things to do inside each land but haven't seen any. What is there to do? What lands have shows? Are they ok for 3 yr olds? We have been to the land, shrunk the audience and turtle talk but wondered about the lands.

Thanks, April

Both Mexico and Norway have rides. China & Canada have movies. I am sure I am missing some...

Here's some information for you:

WORLD SHOWCASE

American Adventure: Audio-Animatronics theatre show the history of the United States, 30 minutes.

El Rio del Tiempo - Mexico - Whimsical gentle boat ride.

Impressions de France - France - 200 degree airborne French travelogue movie set to classical music.

Maelstrom - Norway - Journey back in time to the Norway of old aboard dragon-headed 16 passenger boats. Short Film after ride.

O Canada - Canada - 17-minute CircleVision 360 film that provides you with breathtaking views of the countryside.

Wonders of China - China - 19-minute CircleVision 360 movie presentation about China.

Also - Check the Times Guide when you get to Epcot... there are a lot of show type things that go on outside each of the land. For example, there are acrobats in China, and I think a juggler by France? The Times Guide will give you all the times for those things..

A word of warning about O'Canada...the 360 theater caused both myself and ds to have a little motion sickness. My eyes couldn't keep up. So, if you go to this ...and it is a GREAT movie...try to keep your eyes straight ahead.

OK, let's see, i will try my best not to forget a country in WS, but i probably will. (and my dis friends will certainly have info about any i forget i am sure.)

Mexico - our families favorite, El Rio de Tempo or something like that. we call it the donkey boat ride, but that is a different story. boat ride thru the mexican temple. inside the mexican pavilion.

Norway - there is Malestorm (again spelling?!?!?) boat ride that is a bit more intense, but not too bad. my 2 YO went on all of these with us. there is also a viking ship play area that is fun.

China - has a 360 surround movie that you stand to watch. pretty cool, but i still like the one in the canada pavilion better. the acrobat show here (outside the temple) is pretty awesome.

Italy - there isn't an attraction per say in this pavilion, but many interesting things to do/look at. We like to relax here if the baby is asleep. enjoy a glass of wine and some great music.

US - we LOVE Voices of Liberty (the live preshow before the movie here) we also enjoy the movie. 2 YO loved the singers, but the movie got a bit long for her. we ended having to take her out before it was over.

Japan - again, i don't know that there is an attraction per say in this pavilion, but so many neat things to explore here. 2YO loves the koi pond. also, try to catch the candy lady. she makes amazing artful candies for a few patient and polite children to take with them.

Morocco - also, no attraction but a very interesting place to explore. 2yo likes finding jasmine and aladin in the back of this pavilion.

France - they have a nice movie, but it doen't do tons for me. belle and the beast can sometimes be found here.

UK - no attraction but tons of shops. Pooh can be found here at times. we love the maze and the street comics that often show up here. very nice place.

Canada - another 360 surround movie here that you stand thru. a very nice movie. beautiful pavilion in my opinion. also at times you can catch off kilter (a great band) at the bandstand here. the 2YO loves dancing while we enjoy the music.

i am sure i forgot something.

Just a side note about Maelstrom. There is a short slide/drop that a little one might find frightening, if not prepared. It's similar to the slide/drop in PotC, only you can see it coming in Maelstrom, so it's not quite as bad.

Thanks friends, we now have a better idea of what to do and where to go!

All the best, April

Yah! I went on this when I was little and didn't know about the trolls or drops or anything. It totally freaked me out and I refused to set foot on the ride again until last week. DH had to coax me onto it, but I survived!!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
