I am confused.

Yesterday when I called to make my ADR's for our trip in February the Disney Rep said all the restaurants in Epcot are always on the Dining Plan. I pushed back at her and said wait a minute I know Disney needs to negogiate a new contract with restaurants that are not disney owned. She then informed me that Disney would not allow for the Epcot restaurants to not be part of the dining plan. She did say that the DTD restaurants like Earl of Sandwich are not added and will not be.

This is conflicting information from what is on the Disney website which I did mention to her.

This is also conflicting information from what I am reading here on the boards.

She did say I can make the ADR's at the restaurants not listed on the 7/08 brochure.

My question is....who is correct? The brochure, the disney rep on the phone or the boards. Can I make ADR's now for those unlisted restaurants?

Thanks

My understanding is you can make reservations for resturants not on the list, they may or may not be put on the list by the end of the year. At that point you would need to change you resturants if you want something on the plan

Make reservations, they'll show up by the end of the year. If they don't, that'll be a first. I don't ever recall a restaurant dropping out (although it took Teppan Edo longer to add last year than it did the others). I think Fulton's may have dropped the plan after the first year, but I'm not sure. It's at Downtown Disney anyway.

Bistro de Paris is in Epcot and it is not on the dining plan and never has been. (It is, in fact, the only restaurant inside a theme park that is not.)

You can always make reservations, whether the restaurants are listed for the dining plan or not. You'd just need to change the reservations if it turns out they don't get added (which no one actually anticipates happening).

Take anything that comes from a CM over the phone with a grain of salt. They often don't know as much as some of the more savvy posters here on the DIS!

Last year, it was mid-November when the updated list came out, and sometime in December before the Japanese restaurants were added. Until then, all you can do is make the ADRs you want and change them later in the unlikely event that a restaurant that was on the plan this year chooses not to accept it for next year.
