Epcot Resort - Looking for deals for mid Oct weekend...

Want to do last minute anniversary weekend. Is there any deals out there for any of the Epcot Resorts? Looking for the convenience of walking to Epcot but they seem out my league.

Any deals? Any alternatives?

Unfortunately you picked a really busy time and Epcot resorts have been sold out for MONTHS. I did notice this morning that the BWI and YC had "some" availability but it was at rack rate and was not cheap! Try calling, maybe you'll get lucky. I would also try Swan & Dolphin if you really have your heart set at staying at one of the Epcot resorts - although they've been extremely limited as well. Good luck!

As PP noted, October about the busiest time of year for Epcot as it is F&W and most of the hotels are sold out. You might try the Swan and Dolphin as you can usually score a lower rate there. Be advised, you won't get Magical Express, nor ability to charge to your room, and there is a fee to park your car plus a daily resort fee -- but even with those you can usually be under BWI/BC/YC unless you get a great discount on one of them.

CBR would be another choice as it isn't too far from Epcot, and although a moderate, it is a beautifully set up resort.

Disney generally only offers discounts on a resort when they need to fill rooms, and as PPs have mentioned, the Epcot resorts have no trouble with occupancy during the Food and Wine Festival - they're booked up many months in advance.

Your best bet for a discount is probably at the Swan or Dolphin, and the chances are pretty slim there, too, unfortunately.

You might consider off-site. The Disney Springs and Bonnet Creek areas aren't walkable to Epcot, obviously, but have convenience and availability that on-site doesn't have right now.

Plus, with YC starting a refurb, I heard they are moving people who have reservations there and only offering AKL as their only other option.

depending on your dates, it may also be during the Gartner Symposium, a huge IT convention held at the Swan/Dolphin, that has attendees staying at all the Epcot area resorts.
