Couple of questions on the breakfast:

1. A few posters lately have stated that Cinderella has made an appearance there? Can anyone confirm this or do you suspect as I do that they thought Aurora was Cinderella?

2. We have a late seating - 10:20 am. I'm assuming the food will be lukewarm but I'm hoping that the princesses won't be. We've gone to Chef Mickey's breakfast with a late seating and we had a great time with the characters. We even got a picture with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto all in one. Has anyone been at this breakfast late? What were your experiences?

Just had the Story Book Princess breakfast on Saturday (12/7). We enjoyed it very much - actually more than CRT. Here is the skinny..............

We had a late seating (10:20) and got there late - about 10:30. We were seated immediately. The princesses there were Belle (in her blue "quiet village" dress as my 4 yo DD calls it), Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Jasmine, and Mary Poppins. Our server told us that Snow White is usually at this breakfast but couldn't make it that day, so they had Mary Poppins instead. She also told us that they usually alternate between Mulan and Jasmine, usually every other day but the schedule does fluctuate. The princesses spent A LOT of time with our kids. Belle walked our DD to the table and talked with her for a long time, gave an autograph, and gave lots of hugs. Sleeping Beauty arrived at the table and we got great pictures with both. Mary Poppins, Mulan, Jasmine all spent LOTS of time talking and taking pictures. We were the last ones seated and pretty much the last ones in the restaurant for the princesses to see. Our server said that the breakfast is usually packed, but Saturday was a slow day. The atmosphere was much more relaxed than at CRT, there was more room (not as crowded) and the princesses spent much more time at the table than they do at CRT.

Now for the only downside - the food. It is served family style in a skillet. Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and potatoes. There was also a small plate of fresh fruit and a plate of muffins/danish. The food was not as good as CRT - no yummy cream cheese stuffed french toast. Since the restaurant is set up for a buffet at other meals I think the breakfast should be buffet as well.

All in all, we enjoyed it and will do it again on our next trip.

To answer your questions - no Cinderella was not there and I don't think she is a regular. Given the way the food is served, a late seating should have no effect on the food - either way is was barely so-so. I'm not sure if we just hit a good day (with a small crowd) but the late seating was great.

Have fun.

Thank you for the detailed reply Disney Kidds. It is much appreciated. An early seating won't work for us so I was hoping that we wouldn't get short shifted. I know everyone's experience won't be the same but past performance may be an indication of the future.
I'm hoping we get to see Mulan. She is one of our favorite characters - I really like the message from that movie more than most. Strong, intelligent, persistent, values family, willing to break a rule or two if necessary. All this and she still gets her prince. Can't wait!

No problem bennie. We actually do a lot of late character breakfasts. Many time we like to hit the parks early (especially with EE/Extra magic hour) and then do a character breakfast around 11:00 or so - whatever the latest seating is. On occasion we have been "shorted" on character time, especially at Donald's Breakfastosaurus at the AK. However, the late meals usually work out great, like the Story Book Princess meal did on this last trip. We especially enjoy late character meals at Cape May Cafe and 1900 Park Fare. They keep the buffets stocked, and we have had great interaction with the characters. There were times at Cape May Cafe when we were just about the last people there and the characters had lots of time to sit at our table and play with the kids.

Just to add here....I am one of the "ones" who has recently reported that Cinderella WAS at the Storybook breakfast. My family had a wonderful time there on Friday, November 29. Cinderella was present as was Aurora - trust me we know the difference. I also do not think she is a regular, but she did appear this day. Will she be back - who knows. Good luck!

We were there on 11/26 and also saw Cinderella as well as Jasmine, Snow White, Belle, & Princess Aurora. I don't think Cinderella is a regular but I read on this board that others saw her there before we left on our trip. We had an early seating.....the princesses were good but really didn't linger very long. The kids did get autographs & pictures with each one. We thought the food was okay.....not the best breakfast we've ever had but certainly not the worst one either. Have fun!

I can back up Tiger Fan in that Cindy was there on Fri. 11/29, along with Aurora, Belle (who was absolutely wonderful!!), Mulan, & Mary Poppins. Cinderella came out first & my 14 Yold DD looked at me & said "Mom, I thought cinderella didn't leave the castle", we were a little surprised...but my 4 yo DD LOVED seeing any & ALL princesses!

Tiger Fan, we had 9:55 ressies, when were you there?

oh Poohlover we were there at 10am. I'm sure we saw each other and just didn't know it. We sat in the front section of the restaurant and also were very surprised and thrilled to see Cinderella come out first. We loved her gown and talked with her at length about it being for winter. We also thought Belle was wonderful. She also told our DD about meeting her later with the Beast in France which we did and she remembered DD. It was a fun breakfast for us. Too bad we didn't see each other's lime green ribbon. :D!!

Didn't mean to offend but you have to admit seeing Cinderella anywhere other than her castle is such a departure from what we have all come to expect from Disney. Now that she'll be appearing at the new dinner at the Grand Floridian I guess that the policy regarding her appearances has changed.

As a matter of fact we have changed our reservations from Epcot to Grand Floridian. I think the dinner is a better value than the breakfast - only $4/more per adult and $4 less per child (if I remembered correctly) and its a prime rib dinner.
