Epcot parking/drop off question

My MIL will be visiting central Fla and wants to spend a day at Epcot. The rest of her party will be doing other things that day, but with only one car for the lot of them, she will more than likely be dropped off at Epcot in the early AM and picked up after Illuminations.

Will the person dropping her off/picking her up have to pay for parking? if yes, will they have to do so twice? (once when entering the parking lot to drop her off and again when they enter the parking lot to pick her up.)

The way i see it, there is really no way around paying the parking fee for a dropoff/pickup unless she has someone drop her off at a monorail resort and pick her up there in the evening.

Anyone else have suggestions?

The parking sticker is good all day, so you'd only have to pay once.

There is a dropoff area at the TTC, she could then take the monorail to/from Epcot. Or you could drop her off at Beach Club and pick her up there.

That's a good idea. It probably would be a heck of a lot easier to have her exit at the International Gateway after Illuminations, and get picked up at the Beach Club. smaller crowds.

great suggestion about the beach club and the international gateway. forgot all about that.

is there a ticket booth outside the international gateway? what time does that epcot entrance open? (i know that WS opens later than FW.)

if they do decide to get dropped off at Epcot front gate and pay for parking, how much is parking for the day?

Yes there is a ticket booth at International Gateway - it opens the same time as the front gate however when you reach the bridge between the UK Pavillion and France you'll find CM's directing you straight thru the UK & Canada into Future World.

Last I heard, parking was $7 a day.

Personally I'd go the BW resorts route too. Like you say, after Illuminations, it'll be a lot easier to get out of the park that direction than the scrum at the main gate.
