Hey fellow family disers,

We have our annual trip planned for April 21st. We are a family of 4 with the ages of 8 down to 2 yrs old. So we have learned in the past that we just cant hit the parks heavy and hard. We need one day recovery between the two.

In the past we have done Magic Kingdom and then did Animal Kingdom and MGM. My kids enjoy MK always but it seems like the other disney parks they always ask if we can just go back to MK instead.

Well the only park we have not been to are Epcot and SeaWorld. So know my question giving the ages of my children which would you recommend.

Thanks for any help or incite that you can provide:goodvibes

That is a little hard to answer. My kids enjoy EPCOT, but it is only a half day park for them. So for us it would be SW if we had to choose, there are all kinds of things that can keep their attention longer.

Sea World is not part of Disney. The tickets are separate, and it's in a different location. That said, I would choose Sea World over Epcot for the sake of your youngest. When my youngest was that age, we went to Sea World and totally enjoyed it.

Relatively speaking, adding a day to your Disney ticket costs much less than buying separate Seaworld tickets. So, if your time is limited and you really do have to choose, and $$ is any kind of issue, I'd stick to Epcot. Epcot has Crush and the Nemo exhibit, the butterfly garden and ladybug releases in April (for Flower & Garden festival). Plus, all around the World Showcase are the Kidcot craft stations - while the grown ups are enjoying the countries and the food/drink/entertainment, the kids are doing their masks. There are also lots of characters around the WS, and also a character area (Character Connection) in Future World.

Having said that, if you have a real fish/sea life lover in the family, and you don't have an aquarium near your home, Seaworld would be a great time! We're going in late April b/c we have a DS who's mad about fish and all animals really. One day we will all go, and then another day DH and DS will go again and the girls and I will do girly things at MK and tea with my parents at the GF.

Thanks for the replies so far, I was all set to go with Sea World but U2 Rocks made some great suggestions. My almost 7 yrold loves animals. Eventhough we have the Ga. aquarium here, I have heard that Sea World is still so much better.

I dont know what to do know:confused: Oh decisions, decisions. If it gets bad enough I will just toss a coin!!

U2 Rocks your set up is like mine the MK is loved by my 3 princess but my DH and oldest must have Universal/ IOA to complete their trip.

I went back and forth on Universal/IOA, but at the end of the day it's just not in the budget, even if only DH and DS went. And if you don't stay in a Universal hotel, the lines get long after the first few hours, so it's not like you can do everything you want to in 1 day (which is probably all we could spare). So, Uni/IOA will have to wait for another time. Even Seaworld hurt the budget a little, but the only aquarium we have is a teeny little one, and he loves that so much I can't wait to see him in a place like Seaworld!! It will be worth it I think!

I know, tough choices! I will give you a word of advice: go and sign up for a Southwest Airlines card (Southwest's website) - you can print it out, you don't have to wait for it to arrive. That will get you 20% off up to 6 tickets, I believe, at the Seaworld gate so that you can still get discounted tickets after you arrive. That way you won't need to decide right now, you can wait and see how things go before making up your mind about Seaworld. You don't need to fly Southwest to Orlando to be able to use the card - anyone can use it.
