Putting my Epcot plan together.

Cast...me, DH, grandma with hip trouble (will use cane), grandpa, DS 5, DD 1

One day epcot. Early December. Have 4:15pm at tutta as part of candlelight processional 6:45pm. Ideal is a hotel break (GF) before dinner. Trying to plan day...including some character/Santa meets.

What would be suggestions? Musts?

For the little ones in your group - I would spend some time at The Seas with Nemo and Friends and make certain to stop by Turtle Talk with Crush.
The Land and Soarin are also pretty popular.

there is a spot when you walk into epcot that has all the characters and you just walked down and have your pictured made with them. it's great. if you grandma will ride in a wheelchair, we got one for my mom on our trip from our resort for free. get your dh to go ahead of yall to get the fp for soarin and yall just meet him there. once you get your rides done, go over to WS and let the kids do kim possible. epcot is becoming a favorite park to us.

Is it possible that Grandma with the hip problem might benefit from renting a wheelchair or a scooter for the day? There is A LOT of walking to do in Epcot.

I would try and get there at rope drop (opening). Go get fast passes for Soarin (and baby swap the one year old). Then as another poster said spend some time at the Seas for the kids. Do a few more things in Future World like Spaceship Earth, Test Track and/or Living with the land. Then go relax at the resort for a while before returning for your dinner reservation. (keep the receipt for grandmas scooter if you go that route) then stroll around the countries. We love them all but love the UK for a beer ;) Japan for interesting shopping, Mexico has a great indoor area and ride, and interesting Tequila bar.

Have a great trip!!!

And don't forget the Grand Marnier slushie in France:lmao:

Tangierine Cafe in Morroco - hands down one of the best Quick Service meals in any of the parks! And Soarin' of course.

DD6 really enjoyed seeing Mulan in China, Marie the Cat in France, and Three Caballeros Donald Duck in Mexico.

DD6 and Me42 :) really love the toy section and shops in England. Looking at things there and heard some voices. It was Tigger and Pooh in the back library room doing autographs and photos - next to no line.

I always get a Curly Wurly bar or 3 at the tea shop in England.:worship:

Have fun!!!
