I would like some suggestions for lunch at Epcot. I would like something that isn't a lot of food, because dinner will be at Liberty Tree Tavern in MK before the MVMCP. I have heard something about being able to get a sandwich, dessert and drink at the bakery in France for a CS credit. We will be on the Deluxe Dining Plan. Thank you so much.

There are several good places to get a light lunch at Epcot. As you mentioned, the Patisserie (in France) has sandwiches (limited options) and yummy desserts. The Kringla (Norway) also has sandwiches and good desserts. Sunshine Seasons (the Land) has a pretty wide selection. All these places accept the DDP and DxDP.

If you feel like being indulgent, the Patisserie allows you to select two pasteries and a drink for a CS credit (you don't have to get a sandwich).

Looking at the menus on allears.net would give you an idea of what is available (selections can change): http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm#epc

Seasons in the Land pavillion has a very good grilled chicken ceasar salad, chicken quality seems better than average and it's really grilled pieces, not just chunks of watery tasting thawed out chicken. There is also a roasted veggie sandwich there that's good.

You can get sushi at the Yakatori House CS in Japan. Supermarket quality, nothing exotic, but it's a light meal. Nachos or tacos are available at the Mexican CS. Morrocco CS has a chicken pita sandwich that's tasty. France bakery has ham in a baguette or a cheese plate (small sampler) for CS. There are also sandwiches at the Norway bakery.

For a TS light lunch: Chefs du France has a nice quiche plate or a toasted ham & cheese sandwich you can get with a cup of french onion soup. In China Nine Dragons has a few light options, pizza at Via Napoli is thin but filling so may not fit the bill.

That's off the top of my head, many places for a light lunch when a big dinner is planned.

First of all, WELCOME TO THE DIS! :welcome: Epcot is the best place for a quick snack! Basically, just visit any country of interest. They all offer small dishes for sampling different foods. A nice light snack could be found at France, Norway, and Mexico. For heavier foods, visit Germany, or UK for example. For the less adventurous, salads are also offered at Electric Umbrella, and snack carts are located all over. Search through the menu sections if you want a head start as to what is offered. Enjoy!

Mexico use to have nachos w/ everything, anyone know if they still have them? They were really good. They gave you a churro & drink which my husband & I shared as a meal.

Our plan in Epcot is always to snack our way through the World Showcase.

We are a family of 6 so we often get one or two CS meals and split them among all of us as we work our way through the lands. Our favorites are:

-Turkey and Brie baquette sandwich and the cheese platter in France.
-The Chicken Wrap in pita (substitute a side of hummus for the lentils) in Morocco
-Fish and Chips in the United Kingdom
-the snow cone things in Japan
-Nachos in Mexico

We generally have an early TS ADR scheduled so if we graze as we move around the World Showcase it keeps us from getting hungry without filling ourselves up so we aren't hungry for dinner.

You and get Fish and Chips in the UK. You can also just get an order of chips as a snack. You also get an interactive Animal show in the seating area, you get to be assaulted by various wildlife while you eat. Also, if you like ketchup, start working out your forearms now to open up all those little ketchup packets.

Epcot has some of the best places to eat in WDW. You could stop at the bakery in France and do the sandwich/pastry/drink option. Since you are on the deluxe dining plan, I would also recommend trying Via Napoli, if that's not already on your list of places to eat. You could grab a pizza and salad which is pretty light, and we thought the pizza was great! The fish and chips in UK is also very good and would be a CS. Enjoy!

One of my fav foods in wdw is the toasted ham and cheese croissant @ the bakery in France. On the DDP you can get a dessert and drink with it. I always buy an extra ham and cheese croissant so I can eat it for bfast the next morning.....so good!!! :thumbsup2

To keep from getting too full when we're having an early TS meal, DH and I split a CS meal. We love the sandwiches at Kringla Bakeri in Norway. Also, Sunshine Seasons grill has a huge variety. The sandwiches in France sound really good and I plan to check that out in September! One thing is sure, you won't go hungry at Disney!:rotfl: Good luck and have fun planning everything.:wizard:

That is a great idea! I didn't realize you could use a CS credit there. You just helped me decide what to do for lunch one day on my upcoming trip! Thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2

Agree! Sunshine Seasons is our favorite CS place at Epcot because they have a great variety. Although I ALWAYS get the chicken ceasar salad, and I don't normally eat them anywhere else. Delish!

Sunshine Seasons is the best CS in Epcot for its variety and delicious desserts. I try to eat here at least once a trip because I am in love with the roasted beet and goat cheese salad. (Yes, I shouted and jumped up and down in the BC gift shop when I found the recipe in the new cookbook. No, I was not ashamed of my behavior.)

My mom is diabetic, so the options here really work well for the two of us to get full meals and then share our goodies. If we opted for WS, we would have to make two stops for something to eat for both of us. I really cannot say enough good things about this place.

Sunshine Seasons or Mexico for CS. We really enjoyed the quick food at Mexico.
