EPCOT location wanted, BCV vs. BWV?

We have not stayed at either resort, just cape mays for dinner. We want to be in walking distance to EPCOT. I understand the SAB is a plus for BCV. We will be using the 7 month window for a time in November, just mom and dad trip :love2: .

What else is the difference between the two resorts, why should we try for one over the other?

Thanks!

Both are within easy walking distance of Epcot with BCV closer. If you want to walk to MGM, BWV is closer. BWV's advantages: (a) it is right on the lake (BCV is not) and the boardwalk view rooms (preferred) have excellent views; many others also have good views; (b) you obviously do not have to walk over to the boardwalk for its restaurants and nightlife (although BCV is just a short walk away); (c) front desk, small store, work-out room and bar are inside the building you are in (with BCV you need to walk over to BC (meaning go outside to get there); likewise main pool (which is very nice) is right outside building. BCV's advantages: (a) somewhat quieter; (b) the main pool (actually mini-water park) is huge and the best hotel pool at WDW and has sand bottom; (c) somewhat better bus route -- YC/BC now have their own bus to MK while BWV continues to share with Swan/Dolphin; (d) rooms look a bit more upscale -- e.g., better countertops and eating table; (e) you are much closer to the Cape May seafood buffet dinner (one of my favorites). Personal preference is BWV, but neither will disappoint.

We love them both so much that we're going to split our stays between both. Yes, the biggest draw for us at BCV is the pool and it seems a little quieter and removed from the core of the resort. BWV we love because of the action. Any evening you can go down to the Boardwalk and there's stuff going on. Tough choice...you can't lose!

I would have liked a room at BCV for NYE but the points they are asking for are just way too much.

I personally love the BCV. I love SAB and I love the relaxed atmosphere of the resort. Although I love the liveliness of the BW and love being so close to the action I also love being able to go back to the peace of the BCV. We are staying at the BCV on our next trip over Christmas and new year and can't wait!!

The BWV's have a much better pool bar. :drinking1

I do appreciate all the input, with DVC I know that we will not go wrong. We are planning on going at the end of the food and wine festival and just really want walking to EPCOT as our main goal, all else is a bonus!

Have a great day!

Both resorts are within walking distance of EPCOT. About 5-minutes for each. :cool1:

My friends have stayed at Boardwalk several times and love it.

I have stayed at Beach Club twice and have loved it both times. Storm-A-Long Bay is the big thing for me and the kids.

You can not lose with either one. I suggest booking early. Have fun! :earsboy:
