Which restaurant would you choose and why?

I would choose Marrakesh. Not that Le Cellier isn't good, but I am used to the type of food offered there as well as the Canadian experience. "Traveling" to Morocco for an hour or two is fulfilling to my tummy and my imagination.

I'd pick Le Cellier.

We eat at Restaurant Marrakesh two years ago and I found the food a bit bland. Nowhere near as good as I was expecting.

Marrakesh food would certainly be more different from what you're used to (I'm assuming you don't eat much Morrocan food!) although I think the quality at Le Cellier is better.

We grew up overseas, so it isn't that we aren't used to eating different foods- that being said, my family would NEVER eat at Marrakesh again. EVER.

The food was bland and really, when you get down to it, disgusting because of its lack of flavor (okay, disgusting is harsh- but really, I'd say DISAPPOINTING). Now, others may say, "Hey, that's just the way the food is supposed to be!"- but with all of the flavors and spice offered throughout Epcot, why would you EVER choose to eat something tasteless?

I say Le Cellier! LOL!

I would agree with the others that LeCellier would be my first choice but Marrakesh is probably the only place you can get lamb so if you like lamb...

The belly dancer is the only other reason to go to Marrakesh!

LeCellier - Because I am in love with the fillet.

I vote for Le Cellier also. I've eaten at both and I think that the food quality wins hands down at Le Cellier. I think that Marakesh is a beautiful restaurant and the belly dancer is fun, but the food is really lackluster. I love middle eastern food and what I was served was highly americanized and bland. On the other hand, My steak at Le Cellier was cooked very well and I adored the cheddar cheese soup as well. If you're mainly looking for atmosphere and don't really care about the food, I'd say that Marakesh is a good bet, but if you are looking for good food, make your ADR for Le Cellier.

I have eaten at both and would definitely recommend Le Cellier. In our experience the only thing to rave about at Marrakesh was the bread - the four of us had four different entrees and all were disappointing. We also felt extremely rushed by the servers.

At Le Cellier I always order the filet with the BBQ sauce served on the side so that I can swirl a forkful of filet and mashed potatoes through the sauce.

Checking in with another vote for LeCellier.

Besides bland food at Marrakesh, the service was abominable. I feel that if I ask for a glass of water in a restaurant, the server should not ignore my request. I was completely and totally ignored there. Like as though I were invisible. :scared1: DH asked for my water and wound up ordering for me because the server refused to acknowledge me. I understand the whole aspect of cultural differences but this was way too immersive for me.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the dancer and music were entertaining and different. However, I was ready to cry when we left. We could not eat our meal quickly enough. It was so blatantly, over-the-top rude that we didn't even want to speak with their management about it. Suffice it to say, we will not make the mistake of eating there again. Ever.

At LeCellier, service was outstanding the 3 times we've been there, the food is well-prepared, and the desserts are really delicious. Have a terrific time!

Wow, That's horrible. I'm sorry. Thanks for sharing your story I think I'll go with Le Cettier.

It's funny everyone said the food at Marakesh was bland. My DH was worried everything would be too spicy for us. LOL

You really should have spoken to the manager about it. No way they can make change if they don't know what's wrong.
I've eaten there twice, I'm a female and never have been treated any differently that my husband.
We like the food enough, but I think you get more for your money at Le Cellier really.

I would probably choose le Cellier, but not because I didn't enjoy Marrakesh.

I had Chicken CousCous at Marrakesh, and it was wonderful! It was the most moist chicken I think I have ever had anywhere! DH enjoyed his Shish Kabob, but not as much. We did both love the Beef Brewat Rolls (I think that's their name), though, and we really wish they'd serve these at the CS place!!!

Our server was wonderful--wonderful enough for me to take his name down so I could write to Disney about his performance. I still haven't actually written that letter, come to think of it, but I plan to. He didn't treat me any differently than my husband, and he was incredible to both of us!

I will definitely return to Marrakesh someday...it won't be a "I have to go here" every trip place, like Le Cellier likely will be, but I definitely enjoyed the experience and would go back again!

I haven't had Marakesh yet (give me 3 more nights and that'll change :cool1: ) but when choosing between the two I'd have to vote for Le Cellier.

Sure the steak is great and you get a lot for your money, but for us, it's all about the Whiskey Chocolate Cake. I can't even explain how much I like that dessert

I'd go to Le Cellier for TS and if you wanted moroccan food- the Tangierne (sp) cafe CS always gets rave reviews.

I totally agree, I think it's the pits (Marrakesh) in WDW. It was disgusing and the food had no flavor and the more I chew the bigger it got in my mouth. I finally couldn't look at it and asked the waiter to take it away.
Now LeCellier is the best place to eat. The steaks are the wonderful!
