This past week we witnessed a guy jumping over the fence and down the grassy area between the walkway into World Showcase...
He then jumped into the yucky water where the flowers were...Security was there on both sides and he ended up near the walkway to test track....of course some said he was overcome by the heat.(well duhhhh not really hot that day) and some others said he knew what he was doing as he hid behind the flowers .and it was going to be on youtube.(didnt find it)..but eventually he was on the grass and enough security to down a whole group of kids...
Just wondering

What an idiot. On top of whatever gunk is in there, the reason they don't want you swimming in those lakes and stuff is "ALLIGATORS". I used to wonder how they kept the gator out of WDW. Turns out, they don't. They get in and they remover them. I'll say it again. What an idiot.:sad2:

Wow...he could have used the kids' pop jets by Test Track to cool down, lol :)

I can't imagine the bacteria in those waters are too good to swim in, either.

Yuck!

I'm glad security was there to catch him in the act.

Does anyone remember the photos of the person who tried to climb up the Mayan Pyramid in Mexico? That was an idiotic move, too.

I would love to see the covert security come out of the woodworks~ I think that would be so fascinating! I tell my DD9 all the time, "they're waatching you!"~ it all started when she "accidentally" dropped a granola bar wrapper and I made her go back and pick it up. All I have to do is jokingly bring it up and she's automatically an angel! :goodvibes

It's the Disney World equivalent of the fan that runs around the baseball or football field. I imagine it is part alcohol, part thrill, part a story for down the road.

Nasty! I can't even begin to imagine what's living in there - big and small. Had to be alcohol, a dare, or an attention you-know-what.

Who says Spring Break season isn't the best time to hit WDW? :thumbsup2

I hope it makes it onto youtube! I've love to see it!

my husband said I hope they give him a good tetanus shot....YUCK is right...I do think that the previous poster is right about drinking around the world or a dare......

Someone posted a photo of an aligator by one of the boat docks in Epcot several years back. You just never know and the rule of thumb down here is to just assume there are gators in any and all standing water. Don't forget about water moccasins, too! Bacteria also claims a few Florida swimmers every year.

Has anyone heard how quickly security was on the scene. I picture security has eyes on everyone at all times in the park.

Don't they have stuff in the water, there, too? Like tracks and lighting equipment for maintenance crews? I know they do at DL's ROA. You could get stuck.

I heard a few times that if anyone falls into the lagoon that they have to be washed in a chemical de-tox bath afterwards
