Epcot, Japan, Pick a pearl

We did pick a pearl in 2009 and I got a pretty white gold setting - very plain (the top was sort of star shaped). I think it was pretty reasonable. Sadly we were broken into in 2010 and they stole all of my jewelry so I no longer have the necklace.

DH and I are going together (for the first time!) in September for our 1 year anniversary... looks like I might have to nudge him towards this :flower3:

I highly recommend picking your pearl in Japan instead of the kiosks at the Beach Club or Downtown Disney. The price is the same and you get a really nice ceremony in Japan, not to mention TONS more oysters to choose from.

I took the advice of folks here and picked the hairiest, ugliest oyster in the tank and got twins. My DD got a pearl too large for the cages we bought on Ebay, and my MIL got a nice average-sized pearl. So my DD ended up getting a ring made with one of my twins (got MIL to pay for it;)), put the other twin in my pearl cage, and my MIL's in HER pearl cage, which she gave to my niece when she got home. We have the jumbo pearl in the little ziploc baggie at home.

It was a nice experience and I would do it again.
