I just had to say that I love Epcot now. :Pinkbounc I was kinda a Epcot doubter before our last trip last month. But between our two trips I had read so much on here about how many of you love Epcot and I told my husband that I thought that maybe we had been wrong about Epcot and it being "boring". I did a lot of reading on here and in all of my Disney books and found out so much I didn't even know was there. For all of you that are doubting going to Epcot or if you think your kids will be bored...they won't. You will love it. There is so much there between FW and with the WS. I love WS and all the food. Tons of shopping, finding characters in little nooks and crannies in the various countries. There's the Kidcot Fun Stops and and little passports that you can get stamped at each country. The CM's were great with my kids. In FW, There's Turtle Talk with Crush in the Living seas which is awesome and of course TT, Soarin, The Land and tons of other stuff. I know I"m rambling but I just had to share so for all of you that have doubted - give it another chance. It's now my 2nd favorite park (MK will always be my first  )

We were EPCOT "doubters" too but were converted thanks to the DIS. I am tempted to say it may have been our favorite park! It was so relaxing & the kids just loved the kidcot stations & seeing princesses up close with no lines in the different countries. We did not leave enough time. Next time we will spend A LOT more time in EPCOT. THANKS DIS for opening my eyes!! We are BORN AGAIN EPCOT-ERS!

I've always loved EPCOT!

The first ride I rode at Disney was Spaceship Earth.

It's possibly my favourite park (I know that it's my BF's least fave, and his fave - MGM - is my least fave... but I intend to show him the true wonders of EPCOT when he comes with ME the December!), but I do love all the others too.
I think a lot of people look at EPCOT and think 'science; education; BLAH!'. Yeah, it is a bit science and education, but Disney makes even the most 'boring' bits fun.

Maybe I'm biased though (I'm a Uni student studying for a Joint Hons BA in Egyptology and Ancient History and most academic things interest me - along with music and art).

I'm glad I am not the only one who has changed my mind about Epcot!

Used to think it was much less magical than the other parks...But since we last visited, I have grown to love it so much more.

I love everything about Future World, and I just discovered this beautiful rose garden on my way to WS...

Each country has its own unique charm, the shops are incredible, especially the one in Norway with the divine perfume called Laila. I have to get me some on my next trip.

And Illuminations is so beautiful, that little song, gets me all teary eyed.

Ditto on Epcot....Off Kilter, British Invasion, F&W, Flower Power, CP, Illuminations, Bass Ale, entertainment all around....that's why we're BCV owners!! :drinking1

Oddly enough, I loved Epcot even on my first trip at age 10... but I always was a bit of a geek and all the countries interested me so much! Planning on lots of time (and more than half our TS meals!) in Epcot this trip w/ DBF cuz I think it might be his favorite too (either Epcot or MGM)

Our family has been to WDW 3 times now and each trip we find ourselves loving Epcot more and wanting to spend more time there. Our first visit was when our kids were 3 and 6 and that didn't go so well. But the next time I was better prepared to do things they liked (Kidcot masks, eating in Mexico, character greetings...) and they got hooked. Last trip they were 8 and 11 and did the passports and got hooked on Off Kilter. For our upcoming trip we have told them they can plan 2 of our meals in Epcot and pick the live entertainment. I'm quite sure I will be dining in Japan and watching the Jammitors and Off Kilter! :cool1:

Epcot is my absolute favorite park by far - we always end up spending a lot of time there!

Another Epcot lover here! I have loved the park since the first time we went and we often spend MORE time there than the other parks. It actually is also my DD5's and my grandmother's favorite park, too!

My kids have always loved EPCOT (us grownups, too), and it is still their favorite. They loved the technology stuff when they were little (they are 20 - 25 years old now, so we're talking 20 years ago) and have such fond memories of doing a quiz with a robot and "building" a roller coaster on a computer.

Now we really like WS as much, and Spaceship Earth is a must-do on every trip.

(I have to confess that I am an AK lover, though!)

The first time we went to Disney was April of 04 for our Disneymoon. We didn't even stop and look at the different countries. We got a Leave the Legacy Tile. When we went back in Dec of 04 and saw our tile, EPCOT is now one of our favs. The food is awsome. The fish and chips are the best. We can't wait to go back and see the films of Canada and China. That will be new to us. But Illuminations has to be one of the best shows. It's just too bad that Living Seas with Turtle Talk will be in rehab...Ice Station Cool will be in rehab. And now, no more Living Statues or Beaver Tails....Geez...well at least Off Kilter should be playing and we will see our tile there. Good to know that will be up for the next 20 years...

When is the Living Seas going to be in rehab? We are going this Nov. and was wanting to see it.

So glad that you love Epcot now!
It is my favorite park
Of course I love MK, it brings out the kid in all of us! But Epcot, especially World Showcase, will always be my favorite. There is just so much to do there! I don't need to travel the world, I can do it all in one place. You can see so much culture, and try different foods and drink around the World!
In fact, my best friend who I have gone to WDW with twice and (and will be again in 99 days  ) has told me several times that she could go to WDW with me and spend the whole vacation just at Epcot.
And my bf, soon to be fiancee  has never been to WDW at all! And what is most looking forward to is the countries of WS.
That's the great thing about WDW, you can be a kid and an adult all in the same vacation!

EPCOT was my favorite as a teen, the WS. DD ONLY liked the WS at EPCOT when she was 8, especially Tapestry of Nations (which is gone now).

This time around, we sat and watched Off Kilter. We had seen them here near Cleveland, OHio at an Irish Festival my girls danced at. So at EPCOT, we turned dd7 loose. She danced Irish Dancing to Off Kilter. The guitar player kept watching her, and grinning. It was fun! And since we had the front bench, dd had all the room in front of us to dance without bumping anyone!!

I will try to post a pic of my kids with Off Kilter. It didn't scan well at all. from left to right, dd3, ds5, dd7, and dd12.

I've always loved Epcot, even as a kid, but now that I'm older, I see the beauty of the ultimate Around the World setup. It cannot be beat, anywhere.

I was a doubter 20 years ago but it has been my favorite park for several years. I love that place. The rides, the countries, the shows are all great. There is nothing else like it. EPCOT rules!!!!

Yeah!
Besides SAB, the proximity to EPCOT (my fave) and MGM (my BF's fave) is why I intend to buy into BCV when we have the money! :flower:

We love this park and spend more time here than the other parks. World Showcase is wonderful. My idea of bliss is to wonder round the shops and try the different foods. What can beat sipping a frozen margarita in Mexico?? The entertainment is just wonderful too.

This echos my thoughts too. Epcot is by far my favorite park (although I love the others as well, of course) and WS is just incredible. I could spend all day there; if I had to pick my single favorite thing to do any Disney World park it would be the whole WS experience. Relaxing, but never boring. And you couldn't be more right about those margaritas from Mexico. ;)
