EPCOT is a dirty word - August 2016 trip report

Last Day: MK

We started off our last day with an 8:30 appointment at Bippity Boppity Boutique. I know it seems like an expensive thing to do but I thought it was great. We spent $65+ tip and V got the full princess treatment. We brought our own dress that I bought on ebay.

I don't know if this is common knowledge but after a BBB appointment, you can go across to Castle Couture and get Glamour Shot-esque Photo Pass photos. We did that and then headed down to Harmony Barber Shop. S is too young for BBB and I didn't want her to feel left out, so I took her to HBS for a princess treatment. I had heard really good things but I didn't like it at all. The CM there seemed to have an attitude and they put her hair up with a giant bump in it that should've been brushed out. I would NOT go back.



We were supposed to have a Rapunzel ADR after breakfast but I was afraid it would be too close so we ran over and had a 5 minute wait. Rapunzel is my favorite so I was excited and a little nervous to meet her. I had made Rapunzel hair for all of us and she was really cute about it. I was also wearing a Rapunzel shirt and she loved it. She was everything I would've hoped for. We also met Tianna but nothing special happened.

We had some time before our ADR so we took a spin on the carousel before breakfast. Then we went to check in at Cinderella's Royal Table. Our ADR was at 10 but we didn't get seated until close to 10:30. The waiting area was very crowded and the downstairs bathroom only serves one person at a time. Eventually we got called in. I got the quiche and found it to be just okay. My SIL got the beef tenderloin and loved it.



The princesses did their rounds and we got to meet Jasmine, who we hadn't gotten to see thus far so that was nice.


I thought the food was okay and our service was pretty lousy, so I feel no need to go back to CRT.

After breakfast we had our FP for Buzz Lightyear. It was fun but not as fun as Midway Mania. We went on the People Mover and then had our M&G with the talking Mickey. It was cool but no amazing conversations happened or anything. We also met Tinkerbell who was adorable and sweet. We raced over to watch the Princess Elena welcome show since my girls love her. I felt really accomplished already and it was still pretty early.

We didn't get to spend a lot of time in Adventureland, but I did have to go get a Dole Whip. I had a ton of snacks left over so I got a Dole Whip and a Dole Float and I gotta be honest, I didn't love them. I couldn't finish either. They were not as good as I remembered. We took a few spins on Aladdin's carpet and then went to go get a spot for the parade. It was a little rainy so I was afraid it might get cancelled but they just started it a couple of minutes early. We loved it. V had a sudden obsession with Jiminy Cricket of all people but we couldn't find any merchandise with him on it. He came waltzing by during the parade and she sounded like a teenager at a One Direction concert. We made such a ruckus that Jiminy came over and gave her a high five. I'm pretty sure it made her whole trip.

We had some time before our dinner ADR so I made everyone go see Mickey's Philharmagic and they wound up loving it.



We now had a 4:00 (beggars can't be choosy) at BOG. We had dining credits left but also decided to live a little so I ordered the French onion soup and we got a bottle of wine. I know people rave about the soup but I didn't think it was anything special, especially for the price!

For my meal I ordered the braised pork. It was good but really fatty so I didn't finish it. I loved the cauliflower puree though. And for dessert I got the grey stuff which I thought was good.



I really wanted to keep going but V literally fell asleep at the dinner table which has never happened before. We had been at the park for 9 hours and we had a really important reason to go back to Pop. So our 3 Belle's got a pic with Beast and then we jumped on the bus to go back.



When we pulled up to Pop we were met with the best possible sight:



My FIL was out of the hospital! They were letting him go home! We all hung out for the rest of the night and used up our dining credits before flying home the next day.

So that was our trip. While we were there, there were parts where I was kinda over it and things were too stressful so I stupidly did not book a bounce back. Now that we are home we are trying to plan for the same time next year and hopefully we can score free dining again. We are also going to branch out and stay at AKL for a couple nights.

Expensive yes, but I also think it was worth it. I did it with both my DDs around age 6-7. I wouldn't do it a second time, but once is special.

I didn't know that for my first DD, but we found out for the second. I feel a bit bad about it because we have these great posed photos of youngest DD but nothing as good for the oldest.
