Epcot Illuminations Song

I am trying to the music that begins right after Promise. Its basically the last song they play before Epcoy closes.

Its mostly instumental with some da, da...d, da,de da da da's being sung. Does anyone have a clue what this is?

Thanks. JH

I have in the past heard the music from the old Epcot "Tapestry of Dreams" parade played after Illuminations. Maybe that is the song you are looking for....:confused3

I'm not sure if they still play this, but for several years, the walk-out music was Tapestry of Nations. It is on the original Millenium Celebration CD that had the Illuminations music. It is amazing music, and it was used as the theme for the Tapestry of Nations parade in the early 2000s. This was the parade with the 15 foot high walking puppets. It was beautiful, but it had to be cancelled every time the wind blew over 5mph for safety (probably not 5mph, but it seemed like it).

There is a similar soundtrack - BUT NOT THE SAME - on the follow up CD called Tapestry of Dreams. They changed the parade and added voices to that original beautiful score. The voices are chanting (a little like the witches in MacBeth), and to us, they totally ruined the mood of that music. The walk-out music never had the voices.

I like that link to Amazon that is posted here. But look below the Tapestry of Dreams to the older Millenium Celebration CD and buy one used if it is available.

I have it right here on my Ipod. The first song is Reflections of Earth by Gavin Greenaway (it is the instrumental part of Illuminations), then We Go On by Kellie Coffey. Promises is the Tapestry of Dreams song also sung by Kellie Coffey.

There is some additional words & music they add during the Christmas season, but I haven't found that ANYWHERE and that is one of my most favorite parts

I got the CD right there at WDW, it was also part of the boxed set I bought a year later, so I passed my original off to my cousin.

It's Let There Be Peace On Earth, a wonderfull addition for the holiday season. I haven't seen it on a Disney CD, maybe with church music? I've seen it in the hymn books at church and heard it sung by choirs.

Thank you, it wouldn't come to me. But there are also some spoken words prior to the song and possibly afterwards, I am usually in tears by then I can't remember. It is so moving and reminds me of my mom, Illuminations was her favorite.

My local system (you can request items via inter-library loan) had the Millennium Celebration CD, which has:

Reflections of Earth (the Illuminations music)
We Go On (the Kellie Coffey song that ends Illuminations)
Tapestry of Nations (which I did hear and recognize leaving Epcot last time)
Promise (Kellie Coffey again)
Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand (which contains a bit of When You Wish Upon a Star at the end)
