Ice Cream Social is in the Land. It features Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Mickey in farm themed get-ups. You are served vanilla ice cream with hot fudge and whipped cream in a waffle cone with a chocolate chip cookie base. It's pretty good and reasonably priced at about $6.99 a person (before tax and tip). You can also get beverages (not included). A great way to escape the maddening mid-day pace. We went this past December and vowed to return on our next trip.

Hi Melsmice, looks like we are nearly neighbors! I teach at Depew so that makes us even closer! It's a small world...oh the ice cream social. I had the opposite experience. We thought it was the worse possible character interaction --the garden grill serves lunch while they serve you the ice cream, service and character interaction seemed to lean towards the lunch patrons. $6.99 for a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone sitting on a chocolate chip cookie seemed a bit pricey even by WDW standards. For a family of four with two kids drinks our total was over $40.00 with tax and tip. Personally that is pricey for a snack. If you go I hope you enjoy it more than we did!

Thanks for the replies. My SIL is deciding whether to take my DN or not. I'll have her read this & let her decide.

patsal - I live right off Transit, pretty much on the border of Depew/Lancaster. I have some friends whose children attend Depew schools. I hope things are going well there since the unfortunate event before Christmas. I think about it often.
