Hello.
I’m going to be at the parks for the day this Sunday the 5th. Everyone here was so helpful to me working things out for a trip I took a couple of years ago, I was hoping to get some pointers again from the wonderful wealth of knowledge here. The last time I went there was no G+, no ILL$ so I’m trying to figure things out. I’m trying to plan my strategerie.
I did read through a large chunk of the of the Genie +/ILL thread (the first few and the last few pages) so I think I’ve answered a lot of my questions.
We’re staying off property and starting in Epcot. The plan is to park at the TTC and monorail over to Epcot, largely because we plan on hop to MK to end the day and it just sounds like it makes sense. I think we’ll plan to be at Epcot around 8-8:30 prior to a 9am opening. We MIGHT gondola over to HS briefly when we can hop just to walk around, unless we can luck into a ride or two or G+ stuff.
I understand I can start G+ at 7am regardless of where we are, but I won’t be able to ILL+ until 9am. Given that the 2 rides we REALLY want to do before we leave around 1:30 are GotG and Ratatouille, I wonder what the best strategy is. Can I even get a G+ (not ILL, since I can’t until 9am) for GotG or is it ILL only? Is it best to try to get G+ for GotG and just go get in line for Ratatouille, or vice versa?
Will GotG ILL for before 2pm even be around by the time I can book at 9am?
If I can’t get ILL for GotG when 9am rolls around, I might just try to get for RotR and/or SDMT.
I thought I knew this, but then I read a post on the Genie+ thread and now I’m not sure. I know I can start booking G+ at 7am and then can’t have another one for 2 hours. Does that mean I can’t BOOK another one until 9am? I read a post that indicated they book like 4-5 G+ right at the beginning. So does that mean I could book the entire day right at the beginning, but it’s the WINDOW that are in 2 hour increments as opposed the ABILITY to book in 2 hour increments?
I’m sure most if not all of my questions have been answered in many different places, so I greatly appreciate any help people could provide. Thank you very much.
