I really know very little about Epcot but am planning on spending 1 day of our trip there in March. There will be my family with 2 boys (8 and 6) and my in laws. I don't know where to start and what to definitely do. Advice welcomed....!!

Your boys would probably love the agent p missions. You pick up a mission and get a little flip phone at the entrance to to world showcase. The phone gives you instructions through a country and it makes certain cool things happen as you complete the mission.

We love epcot! It's wonderful.
For boys that age, Mission Space, Soarin, the whole Living Seas Pavilion, Test Track are all going to be hits. But don't overlook the "smaller" stuff. The live shows can be really entertaining and something a little different. And of course eating. And eating. And eating.

My kids are 7 & 8. My recommendations would be to be at park at least 30 minutes before opening. The kids should like Soarin and Test track. You can only FP+ one of them so head straight to the other at opening. They will have the longest lines later. In the Future World, kids will mostly likely like Living Seas (Nemo, Turtle Talk, Aquarium) &, Figment, Mission: Space (try green first), Living the Land, Spaceship Earth and both Innoventions. From those, I would FP+ Mission: Space and Spaceship Earth but it’s a personal choice. I would save FP+ times for late in morning right before you are ready to head out to World Showcase or later in day after your tour World Shocase. They will enjoy drink samples in Cool Zone too. Ellen’s Universe of Energy takes a good amount of time so you can skip it unless you have 45 minutes to use. If you are going to do Character spot, I would get there early.

World Showcase opens at 11:00. Stop at the first Kidspot in the first country to see what they offer. My kids liked the Agent P adventures. There are multiple paces to get them. There are boat ride attractions in Mexico and Norway that they should enjoy. They may be bored with the movies in Japan, France, Canada. Of those, my kids like France the best . Plus, it is cool and has seats. My kids enjoy the American Adventure attraction/show in America but you have to be aware of the times or you can have a decent wait.

I am not sure what your dining plans are. There are many choices or you can just snack your way through the countries (my kids like Norway, Germany & France sweets the most).

Those are scattered thoughts but some things to think about. Enjoy the planning.

My boys are slightly older (12 & 9), but we are planning on taking them to Epcot for the first time this December. In addition to what was mentioned above, I think they would love some of the shows in Epcot. For example, the drummers in Japan, the bands in England, etc... They would also enjoy going into the shops in some of the countries.

Definitely make a stop in Club Cool! It's in Future World, just a little building sponsored by Coca-Cola. They have samples of different sodas from around the world that you can try for free. You get little cups and go up to the machines and pick the ones you want to try. One of my boys' favorite things! Everybody needs to try the "Beverly" soda and be sure to have the camera ready!

Also, Sum of All Thrills in one of the Innovation buildings. They can design their own roller coaster and then there's a simulator ride they go in to ride it. It can be crazy wild or very mild if they want.

Just a couple things I hadn't seen mentioned yet. But all the other suggestions are great!
