Epcot FP+ tiers gone...for now.

I'm using the app. You choose the day and the app picks the park...EPCOT every time.

Yea I started doing this earlier in the day.

For now I am running with it FP+ is the worst in Epcot, because there really are only 2 you NEED to fastpass, TT and Soarin, its the one park that 3 Tiered FP really = 1 FP.

But I have booked 3 days of Epcot with TT and Soarin, and I am still at 80 days.

I'm not sure how they scan bracelets but this is what is listed as the
viewing area.

"Preferred viewing area located between the Tower gift shops"

If the wind is blowing from the West, not a great place.

I am not able to change my FP+ selections from my app, I keep getting an error message saying something along the lines of "there is a blip in the system, please try back later". Is anyone else having this problem?

I think some people owe the He-man FP+ Haters Club a BIG thank you.

If this stays, it is clearly a way WDW is trying to keep hardcore folks, saying they are done with WDW, happy behind the scenes.

I have the updated app and am only 2 months out, and cannot make any Epcot FP+ selections...what gives? :confused3

Ugh too late for me, we just returned from wdw! Hope I can still do this for August trip, but, if it is a glitch wdw will figure out a way to stop it :(
They do monitor Disney Boards to see what people are saying, so no doubt they'll hear about this glitch and patch it. Sad. I hope they do away with the tiers. Worse idea ever! So many people unhappy with it.

I anticipate a lot of angry people on vacation.

my hunch is this is a major glitch. no matter what time you have a ride, and switch to a previous tier 1 ride, it is allowing it.

getting a fast pass selection doesn't change the rules on the ground.

when the rubber hits the road, the ride can only accommodate so many people. If a restaurant gives out more reservations then tables available, you know what happens? long waits is what happens.

ahhh thank you! I'm an idiot and didn't have the correct date selected, doh!!

BTW, I cancelled the dummie reservations. No FP+ were poached, during my experiment. :goodvibes

Hmm. Did a couple of days successfully. And now... I can't. At about 10:20 CST, it seemed to change back... That was after getting LOTS of "technical difficulty" errors. Me thinks they fixed the glitch...

Tried and can't change mine. Using the iPad. Do I have to use a computer or did they fix the glitch? Wish I would have seen this earlier!

Yep, I was a few minutes too late it seems :( Oh well, at least I figured out how to actually make a FP+ selection lol

Was able to change epcot day... and then got the "we're sorry message", went back on.... and it doesn't work for DHS :rotfl2:

The whole system is being worked on today it appears. Which is probably why this glitch even appeared and the reason some people(myself included) couldn't make any FP+ selections at all(that has been resolved now). I spoke to a IT Supervisor who said they are doing a lot of work at the moment. She said they were aware of the no preference/tier glitch and stated even with a print out it will be up to that indidvual CM to let you through the FP+ line because according to her the Mickey will turn blue as this was not with in Disney's FP+ regulations for those parks FP system and how they reserve the right to change etc and so on. Again she is just another cast member so I don't know how accurate the FP+ tiering not being honored part is. But she did say Disney was aware of the glitch which seems like they are kind of on top of these things. Shame it wasn't something official :/

I wish the powers that be at Disney could read this thread and see how excited people were at finding what appeared to be a work-around to the repugnant tiering they're imposing on guests. They really need to ditch it.

I feel as though that is something that if you get there and you "play dumb" and say "but I don't understand I booked this FP through the site. Why isn't it working" they'll most likely let you through. I mean come on they gotta be stone cold not to honor something that's in black and white.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm going to bring a print out with my reservations as well. They're still showing up on the computer, so I don't see why they wouldn't be valid, but a hard copy should be a good back up.
