We are planning two days at Epcot during the end of the Food & Wine festival! :yay: I have Test Track fast passed for my Tier 1 selection for one day and I have the Illuminations viewing for the other day. My question is, is this FP worth it? I've watched Illuminations from the Mexico Pavillion, but I'm unsure where this location is in Epcot or if this is worth it. Where is the viewing area located now? Ive been trying to find pictures but I wasn't successful.

These and other FP FAQs are answered in the green link in my signature.

I was hoping it would be on the back side of the World Showcase. I've seen the show many times from the front side. Is it usually very crowded towards the back?

It is usually not hard to watch Illuminations from most anywhere. This is one of the reasons why it is not a great choice of FP in my opinion.

Has anyone tried using Illuminations as their "4th FastPass+"? I may try this next week after using my initial 3 FP+'s.

Regarding the location, of the many many times I've seen Illuminations over the years from many great viewing locations, this is by far the best spot we've ever seen the show from. Our spot was right on the water along the rail with no threat of any clowns standing in front of you erecting a human totem pole with their children. I would say (and deservingly so!) that only the handicapped viewing area to its right is a better viewing location. So yes, the location is worth it.

Are there great viewing locations all around WS....absolutely, we've used them for years. It will be busy during F&W, so despite what the "experts" say, there is tremendous value in knowing you'll have a great spot. To be honest, after you've already chosen your Tier 1 FP (which are the only two we've ever needed FP for), the bang for the buck is extremely limited with the Tier 2 choices. On the majority of days, choosing any of the other Tier 2 choices will only give you an immaterial benefit if any, so why not FP it if you're interested?

That's what we are hoping to try, but we probably won't get to our 4th FP until about 4 p.m. - might be too late at that point. Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained.

I hear ya. I already had a FP for TT and Soarin' for my other two days there so I thought, "what the heck."

Thanks for the input! 22 days left!

Definitely a shallow pool of choices. It all comes down to personal preference, I just try to provide advice that works on as objective a scale as I can manage. :goodvibes

Absolutely! Wish I lived close enough that I could go more than once every year or three.

BTW I noticed you live in Jacksonville. Jags fan? I'm one of probably two in the city of Louisville.

Waiting on DW to head down as we speak, doing the party tonight.

Who are the Jags? ;) At least they're trying something different this week, but with a 2-9 west coast record, not expecting much.

I haven't modified anything yet, still up in the air. The point made being it's during the F&W festival is def something to consider. We have friends joining us and I'm not sure if we'd be able to pick up four more FPs for Illuminations viewing.
