Hello,

This question is for anyone just back.

Allears reports that there is no water in the Epcot Fountains. At least I think that's what I read.

Does anyone know what is going on? We'll be down there in a month and we really love that fountain.

We missed it when they had the drought a couple of years ago.

I'm not sure as to the reasoning why, but I read that they have drained the fountain indefinatly....:(

This is so sad, and seems to happen quite regularly when I go. We have always enjoyed relaxing in the Fountain View cafe with a large coffee and cake while watching the fountains. The fountains are as much a trademark of Epcot as anything else.

It's been drained for over two weeks now. I first noticed it on 1/22, and there were workers in the fountain doing something, then the last couple of times I have been there, no one has been working on it or anything, so I don't know what is up with it. I asked a CM, and all they said was it is drained, and they have no clue as to when it might be working again.

Hello,

Bumping this one up to see if anyone has heard anymore on the drained fountains at Epcot.

:D

I thoroughly enjoy the fountains! I'm sure it's for some serious maintenance. We'll be there for a couple days in March. It better be working or I"ll be bummed.

My family gets such a kick out of me when I have to stop to watch and listen to the fountain show.

I seriously hope they get it back working very soon. We're heading down in 2 weeks and will miss it terribly. I don't see how they can say it can be drought related. It's the same water being pumped through, isn't it?

Well, it is still drained and not working as of yesterday, Sat. Feb 8...and no CM's nearby know what is going on.

I love the fountains! I hope they are fixed by May. Watching them dance is one of my magic moments.

Things are looking up for the fountain! :bounce:
I was at Epcot on Sunday & there was a cover over the fountain. I was told that it was down, period. When I returned yesterday (Monday), it was uncovered & doing it's usual fountain thing, but no water show yet. The CM's told me they are workng on the water show! Maybe soon!

Eljay,

Thanks for the good news. I've still got a month to go before our trip. But I hope for everyone elses sake, that they are working soon.

:D

Thanks for the encouraging news:sunny:
I almost hate to go into that area of Epcot when the fountain isn't working. It just isn't the same without it!

Thanks for the encouraging news. Keeping my fingers crossed for it to be working in 2 weeks!!!

My daughter just called from Epcot. She is a CP. The fountain was working. I asked if it was dancing and she said yes. So I don't know if it will continue or they were testing.

I love that fountain and was looking forward to sharing it with my girlfriend.
Glad to hear that it is up and running.
