Epcot for a 5 yr old boy?

Epcot has always been DS8's favorite park.

Went went an our little one was also 5. She LOVED Test Track and also Soarin (but every kid is different...not sure if you meant "he'll flip" as being good or bad). Turtle Talk, Figment and Nemo are also fun for young kids, and Spaceship Earth is cool. There are also character greets.
We didnt' do innoventions but it looksl ike it could be fun for them.
There really is a lot to do for a 5 year old. I can't say about World Showcase as we didn't do much there.

Yay or nay?

I know he'll flip for TT, but I'm having a hard time convincing myself World Showcase will be super interesting to him. I haven't been to Epcot in 20 years, so I'm certainly fuzzy on the details.

We only have three park days, and 1 1/2 to 2 will be MK for sure. Had been planning on HS for the third day (Jedi Training and TSMM would be big hits, and he loves Disney Jr), but I'm waffling.

Wondering if it's better to wait until next year for Epcot when he's a little older. He is generally very ride focused.

Does he like Phineas and Ferb?

As another comment, I agree it may be a good idea to park hop and say, spend 2 days at MK, half day at HS to do the Star Wars stuff (go first to sign up for Jedi Training at rope drop) and the Epcot later. Only thing is you could only book FP for HS OR Epcot. We arrived at Epcot at 5pm and still got through tons of stuff and even saw Illuminations which is beautiful.

My son is 6 and loves Epcot (and has for years!). Spaceship Earth is his favorite ride in all of WDW. He also likes Nemo, Soarin', Figment, Test Track, Mission Space, the Mexico ride, and even Ellen. So...pretty much everything. But he's also super into science and also enjoys geography, so it's a good fit.

At HS, he likes to ride Star Wars over and over, Tower of Terror, and Toy Story, plus HS has lots of great characters for that age group.
