Epcot for 4 yr old?

Well, I think my dd (then 3.75) liked MK best, but she found plenty of stuff she liked at Epcot, too. Most of them have been mentioned already - Living with the Land with all the exotic vegetables (my kids like helping with our garden at home), Nemo, the boat ride in Mexico, Maelstrom, trying pastries in Norway and crepes in France, the belly dancer in Morocco (Marrekesh). (She wasn't tall enough for Soarin'). She only did one Kidcot station, but enjoyed that one a lot.

We just got back and Epcot was the only park where we stayed completely from opening-closing. Even for MK we took a pool break in the middle of the day and went back to the hotel. My 5 year-old DD loved it! We didn't even make it to World Showcase until almost 5 she was so interested in the Kidcot stations and all of the activities.

Soarin', Living w/the Land, Turtle Talk, the Nemo ride, and Spaceship Earth were all big hits. She also got picked to go onstage for the Velcro comedy show and had a great time. Our only disappointment was missing Mary Poppins, we got there right as the wind changed and she had to leave. I wouldn't be surprised if our next trip we do 2 days at Epcot instead of 2 days at MK, it was probably our best day of the trip!

We went 2 years ago when DS's were 5 & 2.....they were NOT fans.

Heading back in November and I think we'll give it another try. We didn't even attempt the lands last time, hopefully my older DS will be into the different countries and can get DS4 excited about it.

World Showcase is my kids favorite. They love all of the films and performers. I hope your sons love EPCOT if you try it again! The Kidcot stations are always a big hit with my kids. We are going to do the passports in December for the first time with them since we have quite a few of the masks from the Kidcot stops.
:goodvibes

Another thumbs up as well. Epcot was probably the biggest surprise for our children the last two visits (they were 1 and 3, 2 and 4 years old). They loved everything about the park! We spent 1 ½ days both trips and wish we had spent more time there.

Our family has always loved Epcot, but I think the recent addition of the Nemo ride and the extra character greetnig spots make it that much more kid-friendly. Also, the kidcot stations are a great plus for small children. Like the other parks, it's not just the arrtactions that make the park special, it's all the sights and sounds. Also, as a teacher, I think it can be quite educational - but in a fun way. How cool is it to see a tank full of jellyfish up close? Or a manatee? How cool is it get to talk to people from different countries, and see your name written in Chinese or Japanese (for China they will write on your Kidcot mask, for Japan, you can buy a personalized fan for like $5.) We go every year - or more - and the Kidcot stuff still interests my eight year old niece!

I'm taking my four year old boy and my other son who is 7 (will turn 8 while at Disney) to EPCOT. We watched the planning vids over and over and they are so excited about going! My favorite is def EPCOT. Maybe I'm just getting old. Ughhhhh

Last year our 2 and 4 year old both loved World Showcase. Definitely get the passports and do the craft at each country when you get the passport stamped - they really enjoyed this and are looking forward to doing it again this year.

My DS (4) LOVED Epcot, although we only did FW. His favorite ride was Test Track (he still talks about it) and he also loved Nemo and Crush. We didn't do WS, but are planning to when we go back in Sept. I would say it's a DO for your son:thumbsup2

My son is 4 and he LOVES Epcot! That is the only park he wants to go to!! I would take him there if I were you!!

My DS was 4 the first time we took him to WDW and Epcot has been his favorite ever since(he's 8) we spend the majority of our time here. DD is 4 now and I think it is beginning to be her favorite as well(she'll do whatever her big brother wants).

We took DD when she was 5, and she really loved it. She still talks about it, and EDpcot was her 1 big request when we started planing this next trip. I think you wil be safe taking your son.:thumbsup2
