EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

If it is a day of purchase that will be insane. Where would you purchase it? Guest Relations? Festival Center? What time would you have to get in line? WS doesn't open until 11AM. There are a lot of variables for day of purchase. Has there been a day of purchase for a special event in the past?

This is assuming the demand for it will be extensive. It's not that great a deal on the surface. With the 8 kiosk items, you are talking about spending about $7.50 per item with the package, so to get value out of it you would have to choose items approaching or exceeding that cost. Unless of course you can use it for ANY kiosk item and there are no restrictions whatsoever, in which case they are going to be pouring a lot of Dom Perignon for package users. There isn't much intrinsic value in either the pin or the seating for the concert. It's not difficult to get a seat for the concerts. I usually just walk in when they drop the ropes.

If there's no restriction at all on the kiosk items I'd buy it myself but there isn't any way to know that now.

Here's what the prebooking situation looked like:

Starting 7/24 Festival Center $15 seminars ONLY for TIW/DVC/AP and Golden Oak residents.
Starting 7/28 All events (excluding special packages) for Chase Disney Visa cardholders ONLY (limited availability for each event)

As far as the premium package, it doesn't make a lot of sense to plan an event that reaches its maximum value ONLY for guests who stay Sunday to Sunday. (Monday to Monday might work OK too, but once you hit Tuesday you are getting into only 2-3 days with the premium areas.)

From this description, I have a feeling that the Dom Perignon won't be included along with some other high priced items.

For the LNLP last year they were not pouring the Dom Perignon or the next highest price champange. Anything else at the limited number of booths that were open was fair game for the entitlements with the possible exception of the scotch flight. I wasn't interested in that so I can't say whether or not they allowed it. There were 3 champagnes that we were allowed to get @ the champagne booth. And the glow drink they included was selling for $12+. I would be surprised if they excluded anything other than the more expensive champagnes & Flights.

Still not seeing anything listed for the Parisian Afternoon on the Disney webpages ... although people were booking it yesterday. Still nothing listed though on what specific Saturdays its' available
We booked this for 10/17.

I have a question about the "Culinary Adventures in Signature Dining". Are these events mainly focused on wine or is the food also a big component? My husband doesn't drink wine. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the cost for the two of us, if one of us isn't drinking the wine. I'm having a difficult time finding any reviews of these events.

We did the Premium Package, last year. We checked in on a Thursday, staying until Thursday of the next week. Our credentials that were valid for only that night were in our Premium Package goodies at check in. We were able to get our credentials for the following week at the front desk of the YC, beginning on Sunday of the following week. We were told that the tags weren't distributed until the week they were valid. This was towards the end of the festival, so maybe they had it more streamlined, by then.
We did the Flying Fish dinner last year and wine is a big focus during the event.

I'm thinking that instead of the LNLP maybe they would have a separate reserved Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party type thing & include two days of the Sampler Package entitlements.

When I first heard about the Burger Bash, I was hoping that that was the replacement for Late Nite Live. But alas, that was no Disney magic for me!!

I thought the same thing when they announce the burger bash. To me the Burger Bash is a lame Special event for the big 20th Anniversary. I was expecting more interesting special Limited night time Events to be held in World Showplace this year

It does seem like the World Showplace may go empty for quite a few Friday nights based on what I'm seeing in the schedule. In previous years there always seemed to be something booked most Friday and Saturday nights.

There is. I was going for The Parisian Afternoon event. I can't find any dates on it.

I'm going to try for 10/24 tomorrow. For now we may know the select Saturdays mean no September and at least offered on 10/17.

If I get in early tomorrow I may try for my other Saturday, but that's the day of my PFTS and I don't know if I want to do it on that day. We will see if it's even an option. I pushed it to get into work at 6:30 once this week LOL!

Sorry if this is obvious or asked a lot, but if I want to book events like the French breakfast do I need to prepay at time of booking?

Yes, you do have to pay at time of booking. They will ask for a credit card number before giving you a confirmation number.

Darn!! I booked the Nov 13th Cooking With Alex G. and just got an email that they've changed her date to Nov 15 ( after I've left) and replaced her with someone I haven't heard of - Sarah Fioroni. At least they gave me the option to cancel/change.
That was the reason I got up at 3:45am yesterday :(
