EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

...I copy and pasted the DFB's listings of menu items for each booth into a word document. Then I highlighted the items of interest to me... I read that you can, indeed, combine the Disney GCs as purchased from Target.....up to $1000 value. I believe I read this on the budget board/Disney GC thread?

@lilluv117 gave the link to Disneygiftcard.com where you can consolidate up to $1000 on one card earlier on this thread, so happy to see that. It looks like you can also check balances.

I printed out the list too and highlighted what I'm interested in- and then looked through all the pages & I'd highlighted half the festival! (It's my first F&W, can you tell? Lol!) I went back through & quite cut it down but was wondering how I'd remember what I really wanted to try while at the festival, I love your idea of uploading a document to the cloud that I can reference on my phone!

Is it possible that the CM's at 407 WDW-FEST have zero information on any of these special events? I called today and I was told No sir we can not book until 7-30. I stated I didn't want to book anything I just wanted more info.
Last year I had to get a supervisor to book on the early booking date, the phone cm's hadn't know they could book me.

How long are the deminars? 30 minutes?
about 45 or so.

Yes it is possible and probable that they have ZERO information. That is why if you read TDC Nala's GREAT posts at the beginning of this thread she tells you that when booking you must you the EXACT name of the event and the exact date and time. The CMs learn about them when they are turned on for booking and not a minute before LOL!

Totally ridiculous question, but I've gotta ask, if they do open up a day early for Disney Visa card holders, that does mean you will need to purchase the demos with the card, correct? I can't imagine that they can tell you have one without processing a charge on it. Though I'm kind of surprised it doesn't go through like a regular Chase Visa card, and they can tell the difference since there's no discount from using it.

They can tell the minute they type in the card number. And I am pretty sure you will need to use the card to book.

I really, really *REALLY* would like to know what 'Select Saturdays' means for the Parasian Afternoon event means. I know a certain lack of details is to be expected, but it's still rather frustrating.

I have my doubts on the validity of information coming out of Disney on dates for booking events based on their stellar performance in the past :rolleyes1. On the 24th I will have my TiW card and AP in hand and try calling at 7:00 and if that doesn't pan out, I'll try at 9:00. And just keep trying, I guess!

I will, of course, keep my eyes on this forum because you guys will have the latest and greatest info :worship:

Which do you think fills faster for any given date, PFTS reserved seating or the Parisian breakfast? Thanks!

Too funny, @MatzoBelle! Those are the exact 2 events I'm trying to book for Saturday October 17th!
It would seem like the Parisian breakfast would book faster since the capacity is smaller and it's one of the lowest priced events at the festival. But I've never been to either one so I'm just guessing.

Does anyone know about how many people are at the PFTS events?

Thanks a lot. Good luck snagging everything!

Yes you will be asked to buy a ticket. I have seen parents with infants be told "pay up". I have read of cases where only one parent got to attend an event when they showed up with their toddler and Disney could not fit the extra person in even if they paid.

I think Disney does this to try to keep these events fairly adult

In addition the breakfast is a seated event so they would have to be a place to put your child. The time I went there were no empty seats anywhere

Wow I'm so glad I ran across this. I am new to this parent thing as I sit here with my two week old, and it never would have occurred to me that Disney would charge me for an infant for these events. He will be 2.5 months old when we go, so not eating/drinking/able to even sit in a chair and unlikely to be awake. This definitely will price me out of some of the events I was considering and we will probably just do a seminar since we would be paying for an additional head. Would they at least still serve us the extra food/drink that we are paying for? I was trying to find more information about restrictions for F&W with a baby, the only other thing I came up with is that beverage seminars are 21+, does that mean we won't be able to attend one of those either?

I can tell you for the past two years I was on the phone within 15 minutes of reservation opening and had no issue getting the Parisian breakfast, yet both times reserved PFTS was already sold out ... wine view and general admin were still available though. There may have been confusion with reservations team or other factors, but I can say from experience that the Parisian breakfast seemed to have more availability when reservations opened.

Both will probably sell out fast though.

It says 21 and older. I am not sure what else you need to know.

And I had the exact opposite experience. Got reserved seating for PFTS but no seats for the Breakfast. My advice is to prioritize on what you most want to do.

They will charge you for an infant at ALL events. Including the seminars. Doesn't matter how old the infant is, if they can sit in a chair, or if they will even be awake. If they come in, they must have a ticket.

You will not be able to attend a beverage seminar with a child who is not old enough to be apart from you. They can't have the child in the seminar area.

So I was looking around the WDW F&W page and found the illumination dessert party. It appears I can book it now. Is this something that they have all the time or is it specific to F&W? If all the time has anyone done it before? Is it any good?
