Random thought of the day for Food and Wine.....Why not put a dole whip at the Hawaii booth

I hope they bring back the Dole whip with Macadamia nut rum that they had during the Garden Festival!

So I was looking around the WDW F&W page and found the illumination dessert party. It appears I can book it now. Is this something that they have all the time or is it specific to F&W? If all the time has anyone done it before? Is it any good?

It's a regular offering, never done it but I have noted that it's standing only - you don't get a chair to sit in. What exactly the offerings are I don't know besides boozy donuts and sparkling wine.

I think Dole Whip is way overrated so I don't care if the festival has it or not.

I think they are moving some of the potential popular items to other food kiosks to even out the longer lines. They'll have dole whips w/rum optional at the Refreshment Port which if like last year will be right near the Hawaii kiosk.

It also looks like they've moved the kimchi dog from South Korea to the Refreshment Cool Post this year.

from what the WDW site seems to be putting out, if you want to book an Illuminations dessert party, you can do so now through December. It is only Wednesdays and Fridays until the festival starts, then it is almost every night (not bookable on Saturdays until November 28).

So once again it looks like Disney will wait until the LAST possible minute to release the seminar booking information. (Or maybe they are going on the assumption that people will just pay them without knowing who is leading the seminars, which probably would work!)

As many times as we've been, to my best recollection this will be our first during F&W. We will be in Epcot on November 14th and November 16th. For those who have been there the last few days of the event, do they run out of items or close booths early? I am just wondering because I did not book an ADR form the 14th. I have one booked for the 16th, should I cancel it?

You need an active AP, not a voucher.

Looks like they will be having beverage seminars every day @ 2PM, not just Fridays & Saturdays as they have it listed in the generic blurb.

Now if only they would get the rest of the special event info posted!

Yup ... I'm pretty interested in the Parisian afternoon offering this year ... but I don't know if I'll be visiting during a 'select Saturday'
