EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

Ok everyone, I'm going with a group of 13year olds and I think we are going to do this for our dinner. Never done it before so where are the menus? Is it worth it for a dinner? Would a teenager find stuff to eat? Should I consider a sit down after?

Need some help please? IMs accepted!
There's no prices yet, but I've been using the menu posted by Disney Food Blog for planning purposes as it's pretty clean to read. http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2015-epcot-food-and-wine-festival-booths-menus-and-food-photos/

Is there a list that gives you the booth names in order around WS?
I'm wanting to make a spreadsheet and the OCD person in me wants the booths in the order I will see them.....teehee

Until they publish a map of WS with the booths we will not know the locations of each booth. They are generally in the same locations from year to year but they do tend to move a few around sometimes so until there's a map we won't know for sure.

I just booked the F&W VIP tour (woohoo - :cool1: ) but it is not showing in MDE. Has anyone else booked the VIP tour and does it show in the MDE? I can't link it either with the confirmation number nor have I gotten a confirmation email.

Edited to add: I called Disney. It won't show in MDE and I was able to confirm being booked.

i didnt even know that a vip tour existed

it's the Ultimate Day at Epcot International Food and Wine Festival - it runs on Fri and Sundays (424.94 or $361.20 with discount), starts at 945 am, includes What's Cooking with..., a few champagne toasts, Soarin and Test Track (I assume they take us through the FP entrance), backstage VIP The Land Tour, 3 course pairing, "special beverage demo," and VIP seating at Eat to the Beat and Illuminations. Limited to 25 guests per day.

Does anyone remember when menu prices for the food booths became available last year?

They usually start trickling out a few days before the festival starts. They will start putting up the menus in front of the marketplaces several days before the festival opens. It won't be long now, Sept. 25 is just around the corner.

My husband and I spent our Saturday night looking through the menus on Disney Food Blog and making a starter list of things we want to try. (And watching Notre Dame football which is probably what made my husband so happy and willing to compile the list with me! ;) ) Once prices/maps are out we'll narrow it down. A few got question marks from us. Despite my joking my husband is super excited about all the food...and the tequila flight! ;)

FastPass night is tonight/tomorrow morning. I'm not sure if I'll make it till midnight tonight though! But with Wine & Dine Half I figure I'd better do my best!

What is the best band for your buck gift card/discount/vip pass for the this year's festival?

Does anyone know where the Future World Food and Wine kiosks will be located? I know we won't know where specific ones are located until right before F&W starts, but does anyone have a general idea about the Future World locations?

An interesting update on a potential way to use QS credits for F&W in this post. Also, if we have 2 F&W passports and share 1 item at a booth, I would imagine that there is no problem with both of us getting a stamp; is that correct?

I know for sure people get stamps without purchasing at the booth. We've never gone to F&W but I've read TRs where people say they've done so.

Very interesting thread! Thank you for posting the link!

I did it! I finally made it to the end of the thread!!! Even with skipping a lot of pages during "The Great F&W Premium Package Confusion" pages, it still took me most of the weekend! Great info throughout, now it will be easy peasy counting down to the official release of the menus and pricing. popcorn::

I will be going Oct. 21-26 for F&W and MNSSHP!

Yep ... after a few adult beverages I have been known to forget passport stamping. I've had no problem batting clean-up during lower crowd times and hitting up small kiosk lines to catch up on the stamps I forgot a few days later. CMs had no problem stamping my book without purchase.

Do we need special tickets to attend our Culinary Demo??

We have booked and paid for a FW Culinary Demo at 1 pm during our upcoming Oct visit. It appears in our MDE - so, do we just give our names when we arrive for the demo? Are they all held in the same location (our demo will be "beef" -ha!)? If so, where are the demos held? Finally, what time do you recommend we arrive for a 1 pm event?

Thanks so much - (So sorry if this has already been asked/answered - I've read through most of the posts in this thread and didn't find the answer).

You pick up your tickets the day of the seminar at the Festival Center, which is also where the demo is held.

If organized similar to prior years, you will need to pick up a ticket. They will be available the day of (not before) in the festival welcome center (demos occur here too) starting at open. There is a desk at the base of the ramp as you enter - you have to show an ID to collect your tickets. As far as what time to pickup the tickets and/or what time to arrive for the demo, it probably depends on who you're seeing (i.e. is it a celeb chef) and how important it is to you to get a seat "up front." Personally, I think all seats are pretty good. In general, I think people start queuing up 30 min in advance - earlier for celeb chefs. I'm a little obsessive compulsive but would probably arrive 45 min to an hour before the demo to pick up ticket and get in line (or might even pick up ticket at 9am if I was in Future World and then come back for demo). You can always shop around or grab a drink if "too early." That said, as long as you give yourself at least 15 min to pickup your tickets (there will be a line right before) and don't mind if you're sitting in the very back and possibly not next to eachother, you should be fine. Seating is determined by what time you get in the queue, not what time you pick up your ticket. Have fun!

As PP mentioned, you pick up your ticket at a desk once you enter the Festival Welcome Center. I would also suggest arriving at least 30 mins before your demo to get your ticket and then make your way to the back of the Center to see the venue. If no line has started, then you can kill a few mins checking out the gift shop area. Last year, there was also a film about wineries running continuously in a small little theatre around the corner from the venue and you could come and go as you please to catch a few mins of it. There was also a chocolate sampling area at the other end of the Center and that is worth visiting. An ad hoc line starts to form at least 20 mins before the demo starts. As you file into the demo stage, a CM collects your ticket. In general, it is better to get a seat at one of the 2 or 3 center tables directly in front of the stage and the closer your seat is to the stage/kitchen, the better your view. There are screens mounted up around the stage so even if you are late and must sit at the end of one of the far tables, you can still see. However, having a closer, direct view of the stage and not having to look at a screen is more interactive, intimate and more comfortable IMO. I also had the sense that the tables right in front of the stage often are served the sample appie and glass of wine earlier than the outlying tables. This may have just been my experience and could vary.
