***Epcot Food And Wine Festival Info 2008***

We have not received anything here on the west coast.. I'm sure that I will get back from WDW in October just for it's arrival! :rotfl2:

Well, nothing going on anyway.. we are doing PFTS Oct. 4 and 12th since we assume that the chefs we want to see from that week will be there anyway!

Kabuki my dear cheese eating friend, do you mean PFTS on the 11th? 'Cause if you do, then we'll be there at the same time and the cheese board should tremble in mortal fear! :lmao:

That's awesome! Tag-team cheese board with two Jasons! :lmao:

People keep saying the brochure is the same as Allears.

Well, Allears doesn't have the two "signature" dinners (V&A and Bluezoo). Are they on the brochure?

It's also here:

I keep adding up and I only have six events to book - what a difference from prior years - and that may go down to 5 if I can convince my mother she'd rather go to Kimonos or Ca. Grill than do the sushi pairing.

Everytime I click this link I just get a blank white page. Is anyone else having trouble? :confused3

I want to know when/where there a free food demos. If that information is on wdwinfo, can someone point me to exactly where? I can't find it. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, this information doesn't come out until the booklets arrive, which is usually when the Festival actually begins.

I WOULD have run down to the mailbox to check the mail, but Fay has decided to unleash her wrath on Altamonte Springs and it's pouring and windy as all heck outside. I don't care about my brochure THAT much!

Wow, just watched the weather, you are getting some high wind gusts. Keep safe!!

We'll see you at PFTS on the 4th

Very cool! :thumbsup2 Hope we get to say hello!
It would be a funny thing to know how many of us all have sat next to each other through the years at classes or on a ride..

I'm the "someone on the podcast board." As I explained, I'm also the one doing these updates. When I saw Robert Irvine scheduled as a rep for the Food Network's Dinner Impossible, I made the decision to change it to TBA.

Due to Irvine's situation, I find it extremely unlikely that he'll be hosting that event. If I had used it, it could have led to speculation regarding the accuracy of all of the information.

We'll just have to wait and see what they schedule on that date. :)

Gosh, Regina, I wasn't naming any names!
You'll always be "someone". ;) I've been bouncing back and forth between here and that other thread watching the info as you've been updating it. I'm totally going to try to book this event, regardless.

Hey...if you're doing the Dining Event Ditch again, I'd be more than willing to hitchhike on another do-it-ourselves event. I'd be happy with Kimonos or California Grill. If you need to find an excuse to convince your mom, I'd be a willing accomplice. :) I'm liking the sound of making our own Food and Wine special dining events. :yay:

I don't know what's scarier: You and Chelsi attacking the cheese table, or you and I trying not to burst into silly giggles during dinner at Todd English's bluezoo™. ;)

It looks like I might reconsider doing the City Tastes for Australia after all.
Gah, the choices! And like many of you, I didn't get no stinkin' brochure in the mail, either.

That's okay. I just want to explain why I opted to make it TBA. I think it was last year when Jamie Deen was scheduled for something and it ended up being changed. It wasn't a pretty sight.

The absolute last thing we want to do is disappoint anyone. I'd rather err on the side of caution, especially with Irvine being billed as hosting Dinner Impossible and still being affiliated with the Food Network.

On the bright side, it will make it fairly easy for the people who are suing him to find him. ;) :lmao:

I thought Irvine did a great job with Dinner Impossible and I'd still like to see him if he's going to be there.

I like Michael Symon but he's just not as good in the show ... he's too nice, ya know?! :lmao:

Free food and wine demos are printed in the big brochure you pick up as you enter the park. Usually, someone who goes that first weekend will be kind enough to post that info. Until then it is a wait and see for that info.

You're getting almost as bad as Catherine making me laugh at inopportune times! I understand why you'd want to keep it TBA. It's probably why Deb listed it as TBA on her site, too.

And yes, we can be brutal here when our plans are thwarted.
