***Epcot Food And Wine Festival Info 2008***

Well then someone needs to fix the DIS! :rotfl2:

That would be me. I edited last year's info for the Vertical Wine Tastings and overlooked the location.

I'm still seeing $425 for the Bocuse so we'll have to wait and see if that changes.

You're always welcome to contact us via the feedback link if you think something's inaccurate. :)

so Brenda, if it is 425 you will book it but if it is 450, you won't? Is that 25 bucks your point where it goes from being a good deal to unacceptable? :lmao: :rotfl2:

In all seriousness though, I don't think we're going to book anything this year :( I think the only thing I can possibly convince DH to do b/c of time/money constraints is the Italy F&W pairing, and he's not that thrilled b/c we can get good Italian food any time we want around here. I have to look and see if there are any reviews from years past to show him.

I attended the Italy F&W pairing last year and really enjoyed it. They had it in a separate room from the main dining room. Right now I can't recall what all we had but I remember liking everything. I do remember that there were actually 4 food items (where usually there are only 3). There were only 3 wines though. One wine was meant to be drunk with 2 of the food items.

If I can find my menu from last year I will post it.

$450 is correct for Bocuse.

if you could, could you tell me what the French Regional Lunch for 10/26 is (this was listed as TBD)

also, does the booklet give more info about the booths? I'm guessing not, but just curious.

Thanks!

ooh! I will be running to the mailbox right after work.

So there's no additional events besides what Allears/Wdwinfo.com has?

It must be a Florida thing, because I received mine yesterday also!!! :goodvibes

You guys in Florida seem to have lots of luck with Disney's bulk mailings. I'm jealous! I'm sure I'll get mine like two weeks from now. :rotfl:

Well, I'm only in Georgia - not THAT far away from Florida, but I'll bet mine doesn't arrive for 2 weeks either!!

I'm really counting on seeing the info on Disney's website tomorrow. (I hope, I hope!)

thanks...well, this makes things harder for me. I would have totally written it off had it been a different region but now I have to take pause and figure out what to do!

Are the French Regional tastings new this year, or has someone done one in the past that they could share a review?

In general I think the events are too expensive to be worth my while, but my husband loves French cuisine and 10/26 is our fifth anniversary, so....

(we'd do PFTS, but we're running the ToT13K that night, and I'll be lucky to survive it sober!)

Hmm. I seem to be missing the post, but I thought I had read that there is more than one telephone number to make reservations for the specialty events. Does anyone know what number(s) to call?
