***Epcot Food And Wine Festival Info 2008***

I have a question I was hoping you all could help me with and I apologize if this has already been asked...

Do you recieve tickets in the mail for the F&W events? I booked PFTS and Sweet Sundays the first day we were able to book. (back in August I believe) but I have not yet recieved anything and we leave in 2 weeks. Should I be worried? :confused3 TIA!!

If I was doing it I would call the sponsoring organization and ask them for details. I don't think that's unreasonable considering it's on thier website. They should be able to tell you what the deal is and who "by name" they worked with at Disney. I wouldn't look to Disney since there's nothing on Disney's website about this deal.
I think you aren't going to get satisfaction when you get to Disney either. If you really think Disney has not lived up to the deal, you need to contact the sponsoring organization and have details from them on exactly WHAT thier understanding of this arrangement was and WHO they made it with. (Amex, who at Disney???)

Otherwise Disney is going to look at it and go "not our website, not our problem"

Having dealt with Disney on "third party" arrangements in the past you have to know "whose who" to get resolution of any issues. (I once set up a meeting there, talk about a nightmare LOL!)

No tickets. Just remember to take a record of your reservation numbers! Enjoy your F&W experience.

pixie08- there will be someone with a clipboard and list of attendees across from the entrance gate to PFTS. You check in with them and you'll receive a wristband. Haven't been to Sweet Sundays before, so I'm not sure of the check-in procedure.

Last time we went to the concierge desk at BWV's and asked them to print out all our ADR's. The PTFS was included in that. Although you don't need it, we took that page with us that evening. There were no problems, but I guess I am just a 'belt and suspenders' kind of gal.

No, you do not receive tickets for the F&W fest events. I would take your reservation numbers with just in case of any snags. They will check you in by name when you arrive at the event.

Enjoy!

:thumbsup2 just wondering how soon this week we will have new info on market booths...

Countdown to Food and Wine in Full Swing......:thumbsup2

Lot's of us going this weekend. Could be as early as Sunday sometime the info is posted, maybe even Saturday night, depending on where people live and how quick they have time to post the info.

We'll be going Thursday night and will try to get the brochure scanned and uploaded that night, if they have them out already. If not, then hopefully Friday night.

Now that's what I call service!!! :wizard:

Like I said earlier in the thread, us going Thursday is PURELY selfish, we want to get some FWF action in early ;) I know how anxious I would be if I didn't live in the area, so we'll try our best to get something up.

Last year they did have the booklets that Thursday night, I know.

For those of us going on the 10/18 PftS, I just called about vegetarian accomodation (apparently there is none, so we'll see how I do!), and was able to get a mostly-finished list of who will be there.

The pastry chef from the NYC Hyatt
Noah French (pastry chef)
"Two chefs from Australia"
Robert Irvine (interesting)
Amy Malek (?)
John Malek (?)
Dean Max
the chef from Bluepointe, in Atlanta

Chefs from:

GF Bakery
AK
MGM
Sci Fi Dine In
Jiko
"another pastry chef"
Biergarten
Coral Reef
Yacht and Beach Club
Le Cellier
Artist Point
