I think normally around September they announce the dates for the following years Flower and Garden festival, somewhere around that time. It's definitely quite a bit in advance....

Thanks!!!!

We are going on a cruise next month out of Port Canaveral. I am seriously considering going over to Epcot and spend the night and check out the festival. We would come in sometime on Friday and leave sometime Saturday afternoon staying onsite. Cruise leaves on Sunday. Does that sound crazy???
This would give me a taste of what it will be like for next year. Now I just have to choose where to stay. Beach Club would be great and it is right there but it is pretty pricy but what in Disney isn't. I figured around there or on a monarail resort would make the most sense and best use of our time.

That sounds like one of the best ideas I've heard lately! If you want a better deal, Swan or Dolphin may have more appealing rates and they are still walking distance to Epcot. However, if you can do it, the Beach Club would be a more memorable event!:goodvibes

Yea, Swan and Dolphin have some great deals at times, more than probably any other Disney resort. And definitely within walking distance (although a bit farther than the Beach Club).

I say do it!!

Thanks guys. I am gonna go for it. A little dose of Disney is better then none at all.

I will check out the Dolphin and Swan too but I bet the Beach Club would be awesome and since this would probably be one of the few times we would be in Disney and not in our RV maybe we should go for it. Tough choices.

I will keep you updated. :thumbsup2

You are so right! Yeah, I say go for it!

Now I can't make up my mind between the Beach Club and the Wilderness Lodge. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Glad this is all I have to stress over at the moment. It is actually helping me get my mind off (even if only for a little bit) losing one of our kitties a few weeks ago. I have been in a depression so this is something nice to focus on.

What would you guys choose? Wilderness Lodge is great. Beach Club looks great too and is really close to what we would be trying to do. I have wanted to stay at Wilderness Lodge and that was where we were staying before we got the RV. But with the limited time I wonder if it makes sense to stay at Beach Club. I know I know this is ridiculous. Rhonda is gonna get mad at me to for being off topic. Sorry.

it's like cake and pie they are both great....Denise

I see that both of those nights are Grad nights. What is that and should I be concerned?

is it high school or college graduation ??? restaurants might be busy. ADR for sure... have you tried for ressie yet?

Not sure it just says Grad night. I haven't called yet just looked disneyonline.

ugh, Grad Night. That's going to be tough, they shut the parks down early, think of it like a Pirate and Princess party but for high school seniors.

It's something they've been doing since I was in high school, they bus all the seniors in from high schools all over Florida (and some other states), and they get exclusive access to the park the entire night. It lasts from 10 PM to 2 AM. The good news is that there is no spill over outside of the Magic Kingdom, since they bus them in and bus them out.

It means that the Magic Kingdom is going to close at 7 PM on both those nights, so if you wanted to go at night, you're out of luck :(

Here is some more info on Grad Night...

P.S. I loved my Grad Night, it really is a great thing that Disney does for graduating seniors. They got some big bands to play throughout the park back when I went in 93, so much fun.

Thanks for the info.

Not sure what we are going to do. The more I look at what it is going to cost the more I think we may just wait until next year and go stay and the Fort for a week. Going for just the one night, two days, which we won't even really have the full two days we would really have a total of around one cost just as much as staying at the Fort for a week including our park hoppers. :scared1: That is a tough one. Unfortunatley we can't take an extra day off work either. Oh well, it was a fun thought while it lasted but I just can't see paying that much $$ for that little bit of time.
I think we will wait until September and see what the dates will be and go from there. I think it would be an awesome thing to go see.

Thanks for all your help.

Wait a minute! I don't like seeing dreams and plans (especially Disney trip plans ;) ) go down in flames!

You were trying to decide between Beach Club and WL, right? So location isn't necessarily an issue. I imagine the Grads will fill up the value resorts the fastest.

Why not go with a moderate? Coronado Springs is close to Epcot. Just a quick bus ride and it is a beautiful resort!

Plus, Chris said that Grad night takes place at MK, not Epcot. So, if you go to Epcot and make your dining ressies there, it shouldn't be a big issue, right? With this info, I definitely would not choose WL because it is the least expensive of the MK resorts and will most likely fill up quickly.

Don't give up yet!!!!! :scared:
