Epcot Fireworks show disappointment

We went to Moonlight Magic and stayed for the Fireworks show at EPCOT. What a letdown. Hardly any high and big fireworks. Most of the show can only be seen by people in the first row around the lake. I know Disney is trying to save money, but come on for what people pay for a ticket, you show this, boy!! What a sad state of affairs. They used to have a great fireworks show, but alas it's gone just like the magic of WDW. Canadian Tom

I've only seen the Epcot show once and it was recently. It was hard for my kids to see anything so we each had to hold them. I didn't want to wait an hour beforehand to get a viewing spot. I was ok seeing and I am on the shorter side (5'4"). I liked it, but I did prefer the previous version. I also don't know what I would have thought if I had a better spot to see the water effects. I was standing in France but not on that bridge. I would like to see it fron a dead center spot on either side (WS or opposite end).

We saw the MK show from the sidelines so only the fireworks, none of the castle projections. Given that experience, we skipped the frozen ride to wait for this show, I have seen Fantasmic before (@disneyland), while this is no Fantasmic, I felt it was fairly good, only let down was no Mickey, would have loved to see a bit of Fantasmic Mickey come alive, but overall I did not feel bad for having missed Frozen.

Disney has cheapened everything. We were there watching New Year’s Eve fireworks at the MK from grand Floridian. Major disappointment.
and yet the raise the prices of EVERYTHING. That to me is the frustrating part. We're paying more, eating less and now the overall experience isn't what it used to be.

Was this a moonlight magic/DVC thing? They changed the show? Harmonius I wouldn't describe like this at all.

Moonlight Magic is a special night for DVC owners and the park and rides stay open until after midnight for DVC members only. There are also free snack too.

I'm with you, Tom. The new EPCOT fireworks show seems to be another example of Disney being cheap. Unless you're right on the edge of the lagoon the LED screens can hardly be seen. And so much of the show relies on what's on the screens.

This show sure brings out passionate responses doesn't it...
