I've read that some of the upper rooms at BCV have views of the Epcot fireworks. If I'm not lucky enough to get this "view", are there places in the resort that I can bring my family to so we can see part of Illuminations? The beach area perhaps?pixiedust: pixiedust:

The only other place I've watched the fireworks is from the beach in front of BC. Fireworks view from #422 (studio):

I recommend viewing from the pedestrian bridge between BWV + BCV/gateway. That's a great spot.

We stayed at BCV in March stayed in 2 different rooms during our trip. Our first room was a studio room #127 which faced the wooded area where the walkway to Epcot was and we could see the higher fireworks from our patio. Then we moved to room #465 which was an Epcot view room. You could see and hear Illuminations at least the higher fireworks. Also if you looked off to the right you could see the fireworks from Wishes in the distance. While the view was great for fireworks the room also overlooked a road so we did have that noise if you sat out on the patio. But it was a good trade off for the fireworks view!!

Its so close that if you have hoppers I'd really recommend just going into Epcot. Most of Illuminations happens low to the lake - the bridge is the best spot but still a lot of it is blocked. Even from the best rooms at the Epcot resorts, the view isn't wonderful. It takes five minutes to walk from BCV into Epcot, you may not get the best seat in the house walking in when Illuminations starts, but any spot you watch from will be better than watching from outside Epcot.

I'd agree with this for guests who've never or rarely seen Illuminations. But for us, the view and music of Illuminations from most rooms on that side of BCV makes for a relaxing and still moving experience. We've not had a first floor room on that side, but have been on every other floor. The view is never complete but good enough for me! Evry so often, I like to see the whole show from inside Epcot though.

I do think the view from BCV is better than the view we've had in the rooms of BC that face that direction. But it could be the difference in the the show over the years as we've not been in that wing of BC in years.

This makes sense. We'll have AP's so that works-might as well take full advantage of them. I liked the idea of seeing some of the show from the room then putting the kids to bed, but it sounds like the view is very limited.

If you walk into Epcot and watch from the bridge or the area near Britain, you can walk right straight back to BCV and put the kids to bed.

I don't think they accept requests for the Epcot view side anymore so it might be difficult to get one, unless you say at checkin that you want one and are willing to wait until they clean one up for you.

If one really wants a nice Illuminations view from a villa, Boardwalk, not the Beach Club is the way to go. Upper floor Boardwalk view villas (particularly those towards the Jellyrolls end of the resort) have direct views of Illuminations.

We lucked onto a great room on our first stay at BCV. I believe it was #454. It has a long balcony that wraps around a corner and yes you cannot see the lower fireworks, but you have a terrific view of the upper. Certainly, I agree if you want to see Illuminations, but when you have three tired children and they do not want to run over to EPCOT every night because their Dad is the Disney nut, at least I can watch from the balcony. Plus the kids love the option to sneak out when they hear the initial shot across the lagoon, watch the show in their pajamas and then crawl back into bed. Just depends what you are trying to accomplish on your trip I guess. See the fireworks in EPCOT or see them from your balcony in a relaxed setting you can't really get from running into the park.

Can you really see the fireworks from a first floor patio? I thought that was why members requested higher floors at BCV.

We were just at BCV last weekend in room 427 and had a great view of the fireworks. I would imagine that you could see some of the higher fireworks in 127, but probably not as good as the upper floors. We had planned on being in Epcot for the evening, and watching illuminations from our favorite viewing spot. After a long morning/afternoon at MGM for the Star Wars weekend, we decided at 4:00 we would take a 2 hour nap and head over to Epcot. We didn't wake up until 8:45, so I was very glad we had the room we did!

I requested quite a few rooms that people recommended to me to see the fireworks. None of them were free when I checked in but they gave me a room they said would still afford a view.

As it turns out the room was on the other side of the building so not even close to seeing the fireworks. I was OK with not getting my room choice but they should not have told me that checking in.

you may be able to see some of the fireworks, but a great number of the shells are shot at a very low trajectory. If you can go into Epcot thru the nearby gate that is your best shot, next as others have netioned would be from the bridge..

We stayed in a 2 bedroom at BCV last January "Garden View" it faced the road that runs around the resort, between epcot and the BCV. We were pleased to find that we could see a lot of the show and hear the music as well. This was great when we put the kids to bed before 9 and still wanted to see Illuminations.

I also went out to the bridge between BCV and BWV once or twice and got great pictures from there.

But as someone else said earlier if you have a hopper go inside, it's a short walk and well worth it, I could watch that show every night I'm there.
