I've read that some of the upper rooms at BCV have views of the Epcot fireworks. If I'm not lucky enough to get this "view", are there places in the resort that I can bring my family to so we can see part of Illuminations? The beach area perhaps?

Its so close that if you have hoppers I'd really recommend just going into Epcot. Most of Illuminations happens low to the lake - the bridge is the best spot but still a lot of it is blocked. Even from the best rooms at the Epcot resorts, the view isn't wonderful. It takes five minutes to walk from BCV into Epcot, you may not get the best seat in the house walking in when Illuminations starts, but any spot you watch from will be better than watching from outside Epcot.

This makes sense. We'll have AP's so that works-might as well take full advantage of them. I liked the idea of seeing some of the show from the room then putting the kids to bed, but it sounds like the view is very limited.
We stayed at BCV in March stayed in 2 different rooms during our trip. Our first room was a studio room #127 which faced the wooded area where the walkway to Epcot was and we could see the higher fireworks from our patio....
