EPCOT F&W advice?

We're doing a weekend trip next month and just realized that the F&W will be on while we're there. At the same time, the airline changed our flight so we now have until 4pm (7pm take off) on Monday.

Before this our plan was to park hop on Saturday, eating a dinner of 'snacks' at EPCOT - that would be our only time at that park this trip. I'm hesitating because the internet says weekends during F&W are busy and slightly crazy. Should we avoid EPCOT on the weekend and purchase a park ticket for Monday, for F&W?

I should add that we have some picky eaters in the group and none of us drink alcohol.

If you start your trip around F&W right at 11am (when World Showcase opens) you should find smaller lines.Just don't wait until 2pm to start going around

Early in the day on weekends will be fine. Even evenings later in the season shouldn't be THAT bad. The lines are well organized and they move quickly. Even this past Friday and Saturday (opening weekend and LOTS of craziness), we were able to find tables and benches and didn't wait more than 15-20 minutes for anything (many were much shorter).

I'd urge your picky eaters to do lots of research and really try to be open to new things!!! Everything is so good - and nearly everything I ate had ingredients I didn't recognize and/or thought I didn't like. If I was choosing to be super picky, I probably wouldn't have eaten anything (in which case, I would have been happier to just skip it all.)

I would go that day. Try starting toward the middle, e.g. France or China, at 11 and work your way to the end furthest away. If you have time, go to the areas that you initially skipped.

People have a tendency to start at the first booths and move on from there. Starting in th middle can often result in lower crowds for your fist stops.

Honestly the weekends are busier yes, but they aren't crazy unless its opening weekend or last weekend. It will be busier than normal, but I've never had issues walking around the World Showcase or finding places to sit/eat.

Actually, the Festival will be a nice thing for all of you. Each can pick and choose to eat or not to eat whatever they want. And there are plenty of NA beverages available.
