Hey all,

Will be heading down to the world from 10/25/-10/31 this year and will be staying on Disney property for the first time! My family has always stayed offsite, so we always followed easywdw's calendar guide for the most recommended parks with the lightest crowds. We still plan on doing that, but my family are definitely night people as preferred to morning people so we were looking at hitting up MK and Epcot evening magic hours (DHS still closes relatively early compared to the other two with regards to EMH so we will be skipping that).

I can see the benefits of being in MK until midnight as several attractions are still open during those hours, but I wanted to know what you guys think of the Epoct evening hours. The idea of being there until 11 sounds like fun, but is there still much to see and do around the World Showcase during these hours? Are the shops still open? This is during F&W too, and this is the first time we will be there to visit that too so I'm not sure if that has an impact at all on the evening EMH. Or would you guys suggest that these hours are just better spent in Future World?

I think most of the Showcase closes at regular park time, and the EMH is mainly Future World. Everyone will flood to Test Track and Soarin' after Illuminations so the waits won't be short at those. Waits will be non-existent for everything else (Energy will be closed though). I will typically hang out a bit and let the crowds who are leaving thin out, maybe ride Mission: SPACE or Spaceship Earth.

I'm pretty sure that most, if not all, F&W booths close for evening EMH. I've heard EMH at Epcot aren't really worth it but apparently we aren't listening to that because we're doing an Epcot evening EMH in September! I'm just looking forward to enjoying the atmosphere and maybe getting a Soarin or TT ride in.

If you are wanting to ride Soarin' or Test Track during evening EMH you must get there before Illuminations ends. The lines will get crazy long as people head back to Future World. The lines will be long regardless but after the fireworks it will be crazy for either of those two attractions. Remember there is no FP+ during EMH. Also Spaceship Earth will get a long line because it is right on the path out of the park. If you want to try for Soarin' and Test Track I would go immediately to Soarin' first then try the single rider line at TT. Cheers and good luck!!!
