Epcot EMH close during F&W

We're going back early October this year for first ever F&W and MNSSHP (yay!)...It's estimated that the Thurs we're there will be an EMH close. We're night owls by nature, close every park down to ghost town level (lol); so the idea of the park staying open after illuminations thrills me (we've never been able to do before). But, here's the thing. It's also estimated that MK will have a 2am EMH close the night before; which we wouldn't miss for anything. So, that logically means sleeping in the am before we get started on our hopper tix. Night owl expert advice, do you think this is a better strategy: getting started on hopper tix midday (HS, then boat to WS entrance) to ADR dinner @ Biergarten; then EMH close on a Thurs v/s starting hopper earlier in the am on Fri (same HS, then boat to WS entrance) same ADR but earlier; and regular close? I've heard F&W Friday nights are SO crazy busy (and not family friendly sometimes). And, the allure of staying after the fireworks gets me SO excited. But, bc of such late MK hrs the night before; knowing we'd have to sleep in to recoup-it'd be kinda a waste of hopper tix time. Would it be as worth it as I think it would, to loose hopper time to avoid F&W Friday night? Do all rides and F&W booths stay open during EMH close?

I would book FP+ for HS starting late morning/early afternoon, then hop to Epcot and enjoy the food booths, Illuminations, and EMH. I would skip the ADR or there may not be room for food and wine. I don't know if the booths are open during EMH so hopefully someone can help with that info.

I'm confused by this -- if your tickets are hoppers they are hoppers for the entire trip. So you can hop every day, or not, up to you.

I like ScrampShopper's suggestion. Late morning/early afternoon DHS FPs, and no ADR in Epcot. Eat and drink your way around the F&W booths!

Yeah, after reading how I stated it; it does sound confusing lol! More or less, I was debating if it was worth burning a park day on a day we'd be sleeping in and getting a later start vs saving the use of that park day for a day we could get up and started earlier:-). Normally I wouldn't even contemplate wasting park time, but the allure of the Thurs EMH close and worry over a crazy F&W Friday night; complicates things. I love how sweet you DIS experts are in always taking time to help! :thanks::disrocks:

Found this list of what is open during evening EMH at Epcot:

Whenever we have been there, almost all of the F&W booths closed at the start of IllumiNations every night. One year, two booths remained open a little longer, but not during EMH.

Yes all food and wine marketplaces close at normal park close(illuminations start). So does much of the world showcase as well. The marketplaces will not be open for any EMH night.
