EPCOT EMH Attractions Question

Quick question about rides during EMH at EPCOT. On our upcoming trip in a few weeks, EPCOT has EMH on our first night. Our standard protocol [kind of our own thing] we always start our WDW vacation by going to EPCOT...having lunch, and riding Soarin' and a few other rides. OK....however, I was thinking, since EPCOT has EMH, why don't I use my FP's at MK and then head to EPCOT for EMH later in the evening and do stand-by. My question is, will the ride wait times be ridiculous during EMH? Since I will have used up my FP's at MK, by the time we get to EPCOT, all of the tier 1 FP's will be gone. Just trying to figure out whether to keep my current EPCOT FP's or switch them for MK rides and then take my chances at EPCOT later in the evening.....

I've been checking wait-times at EPCOT during evening EMH the past few weeks, and the wait times during the fireworks and for a few minutes post-fireworks haven't been all that bad; usually < 30minutes.

Any help greatly appreciated.

1. At Epcot, for PM EMH that is very likely.
PM EMH attracts a LOT of guests, as IllumiNations draws such a massive crowd to begin-with.
And, there are so few "rides" that if guests line up for them, the waits can be substantial.
I like PM EMH at MK (so MANY attractions are available) but Epcot PM EMH... not so much.

2. Yes.
And just to be clear, DURING the EMH (after 9PM,) no FPs are available or used.

Evening EMH at EPCOT does not help the lines at Soarin or Test Track. There is little to do in other areas of the park so everyone is in line for those attractions. You could certainly hit the countries or second tier attractions.

Totally agree....just what I thought. I think I'll stick with my EPCOT FP's, watch the fireworks, and then just play it by ear as far as what we decide to wait stand-by during EMH. I have FP's at MK on the following night for our faves there.

Potentially riding Soarin' twice on our first night though..........priceless! :)
