Epcot: Drinking around the World!

How expensive is it to drink around the world?

I think it was about $7.00 per drink...it gets a little cha-ching when you add it up, but well worth it

Oh, don't forget the daiquiris in Morocco!

I'm not a big beer person, I can maybe drink one of those big cups Disney serves you, so I cheat a little. Part of the game is having a drink in each country (or at least attempting to), so if the only thing offered is beer then I will grab a second margarita, or viking coffee, or mixed drink (only in england) and "pretend" that I got it from that country. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I know, I know, it's not REALLY how DATW works, but it works for me :thumbsup2

Mimosas in the French Pavillion
Guiness in the UK pavillion
Plum sake in the Japan Pavillion

and being from Boston area......don't forget the Sam Adams lager at the gool ol USA pavillion!!!!

Have fun and party safely!!!

DH is a beer drinker. I joke he drinks half way around the world then he recycles the beer the other half! :rotfl2: He says you never really own beer you just rent it! :rotfl:

Hey, I'm a long time reader and this is my 1st post.

In June me and 2 good friends all turned 21 so we thought that once we get some money saved up we would go Drinking Around the World. This is my review of Saturday, August 5th.

We woke up Saturday morning and went to AK. It was packed but we managed to time everything perfectly so we didnt wait for anything. At 11:30 I discovered a bar in Africa that was opened so I got my first drink and headed to It's tough to be a Bug. After that we decided to go eat lunch at Rainforest Cafe. There I got my 2nd drink called a Geen Python and filled up on food before we went over to EPCOT.

The hotel(All Star Music) let us check in early which was good so we dropped our stuff of at the room and then relaxed for a few minutes before we took the bus over to EPCOT. It was now almost 3:30PM and we just got to EPCOT. We first picked up a Fast Pass for Test Track and then we began our Journey.

We started in Mexico and decided to work our way around to Canada.

In Mexico we all a got frozen Margarita. One of my friends and I had a Feista Margarita and my other friend had a strwaberry maragrita. I was kind of mad casue they were frozen so it took longer to finish and everytime i tried to pound it i got a brain freeze. We rode the boat ride and then moved on to Norway.

In Norway we all got Carlsberg Beer. This was by far the worst beer I tried all day. It tasted like Salt Water. However the Norweigian girl who was working in the little cafe was so freaking hot and she couldnt say beer instead she said "enjoy your bears." We finished our BEARS and then rode Maelstorm.

On to China. I didnt think that China was gonna have good beer but surprisingly they did. Tsing Tsao was one of my favorite beers I had at EPCOT.

When we got to Germany, while we were waiting in line for beer we met some other people who were doing the same thing as we were. They were a little a head of us though. The longest wait I waited in all day was here and in line for beer. This stand had Becks Light and Becks Dark Lager. The tap on the Light was broke or something so everytime someone ordered a light it took like 5 minutes for them to pour 1 cup. I ended up just getting a dark Lager cause I didnt feel like waiting any more. The German chick here was hot too.

Stil not buzzed We headed to Japan. I didnt want beer here cause I wated some liqour so I would begin to feel something so me and one of my friends got shots of hot Sake whcih were more like cups of Sake. I never had Sake before and i don't plan on having it again anytime soon. It tasted like microwaved rubbing alcohol. I was definatly begining to feel the drinks after this.

We skipped Italy cause we were stil working on the Sake but I figure I had 2 drinks earlier in the day so I was allowed to omit a country.

At Moroco I had a Casa beer which I liked a lot. Of course at this time a Bud Light would of even tasted good. We took our time here and watched some little belly dancer show and I was Really buzzing by now.

In France they had either Frozen Grey Goose slushies or Grand Marnier slushies. I knew better and got a beer while my two other friends got the slushies. The beer was called something like 1664. I dont remember ,sorry. It was good though but the slushies were better.

Next we went to the UK. This is by far the best country at EPCOT. They had a little pub/bar here were you can actually go in and sit down and order drinks. Everyone in here was so friendly and drunk. I needed something to drink that was gonna get me drunk so I got a Top Shelf Long Island. Everyone in here was drunk and singing. We had the most fun here. We finished our drinks and realized that we were now drunk. And headed off to our last country.

It was now around 8:15 and our express pass for test track expired at 8:35 so we had to hurry. We were all now at the point of being loud and abnoxious. I quickly grabbed a beer at Canada called moosehead. My one friend is from Canada and told me that they call that beer moose piss in Canada so I drank it anyway. They had a polka band playing so I mada an *** of myself in fromt of a bunch of people and decided to dance around all by myself. I was now beyond drunk and the last 2 drinks hadnt even kicked in yet.

We went to Test Track and prepared ourselves for the best ride of the day. Test Track is a fun ride sober but it's 100 times better wasted. By the time we got off I was fully intoxicated. We walked by mission space and saw it only had a 10 minute wait so being drunk and carefree we said what the hell. I just love it when mission Space newbies ask you if this ride is intesnse. The simple response of " Well, they have had a few deaths on here recently" always seems to make people happy. We get on Mission Sapce and all of us are to drunk to even now what our jobs were and when to push the right buttons so we just kind of enjoyed the feeling of the ride.

We got off and watched illumintaions then got on the bus and went back to the hotel. The bus ride was a fun experience in a sense of it was completly filled with people who were all quiet except for me making high pitched sounds to get attention. I had 5 people laughing at me and the other 40 people looking at me like they wated to kill me. Any how we got off the bus and walked back to our room. On the way to our room We found a bar and it was open! So we sat there and had another Long Island that was $9.50. We harassed the bar tender then went back to our room and passed out.

This was so fun and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The only downside was how expensive it was. I took out $100 at AK and it was gone at the end of the night. It was worth it though. Im stil waiting to be sent the pictures so il post those when i get them.

Awesome. Sounds like you guys had a great time.

I've done drinking around the world before and your story sounded very familiar! EPCOT is just awesome.
