Epcot dinner reception after Intimate wedding

FH and I are planning on having an Intimate wedding, but we want to have a larger dinner/reception afterwards. The majority of our future guests live here in Florida already, so travel won't be a problem.

I've been looking over the menus at www.yourfairytale.com, and I adore the idea of the Native American menu at Epcot with the fall themed wedding that I want. The food choices sound fabulous.

My questions include: can I have a dinner at Epcot after an Intimate wedding (not a dessert party)? If it's inside, will there be a cost to bring guests in without a ticket since there won't be an Illuminations viewing? Is there a minimum expenditure per person, even if it's a separate reception from the Intimate package?

I've tried looking online and doing searches here, but I can't seem to find the exact answers I'm looking for.

Thanks!

You would have to check with FTW, but I believe the answer is NO - you cannot have more people at your reception than at your ceremony. I suppose if you were still under the maximum, then maybe you could but that doesn't sound like your case.

However, you can have a dinner thru in-park catering with however many people you want. It just wouldn't be your "reception".

We did something similar 3 years ago when we had 5 people at our ceremony, but we wanted 20 people at an illuminations dessert party. We just booked the dessert party thru catering and not thru FTW.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Yeah, that's really I what I meant - a reception that's not really THE reception. We don't care too much about the cake reception that's included with the Intimate package, and we're really not referring to it as such.

Thanks! We haven't started talking with FTW yet because it's so far in the future right now, so we're just trying to get tentative ideas down.

While it's a pity, it's no problem. We're looking at going pretty casual overall for the ceremony, and it'll be a dress I can wear over again. Plus, I could wear a white skirt and a white blouse to an Epcot dinner, perhaps! :D

I am pretty sure you would book an Illuminations Dinner Party the same way you would book a dessert party - through Epcot Events. You probably have to do a buffet - and you would need a backup location in case it rained (usually Norway or AA VIP room) - but I think that would be a lovely way to end your intimate wedding day.

You may not be able to wear your dress true - but it never hurts to beg. I have heard of exceptions being made.

If your event was during Illuminations, you'd have to pay viewing fees for your guests - and I think you could have more people come to your dinner recpetion than the ceremony/cake reception since it's completely separate.

Good luck with your plans and I hope everything works out.
