I made a ressie for Living Seas thinking the kids would like to see the aquariums, etc. Then realized that we don't eat seafood. Doh! So, now I'm considering the idea of seeing fireworks, which I didn't even think about before - where's the best place to eat dinner and watch the fireworks at Epcot? Also, we're looking at 12/5, so how do I know what time the fireworks are?

Thanks so much - you all are awesome!!!

In December, Illuminations is at 9:30. It is later because of Candlelight Processional.

The only sit down restaurant where one can view Illuminations is Rose and Crown. There is a patio, but more tables are inside than out. Outside is by first come, first serve. There is no way to resevse an outside table.

Illuminations is at 9:30pm in December. I would make a PS at the Rose & Crown for 7:30pm. Check in early and request a patio table. Tell them you do not mind waiting. This way you can enjoy Illuminations and have a great meal too!

Rose & Crown is one of my traditional stopping points on every trip to Epcot...love this place

I would agree with Terk-1...getting a patio seat cannot be accomplished through PS. If you want one you must wait for it along with others probably trying to do the same thing. When Illuminations starts individuals from inside Rose & Crown are allowed to stand in the patio area too.

It is a great location to watch Illuminations

Just eating somewhere else and then watching Illuminations with everyone else is likely to be a lot less stressful than trying to get a patio table at R&C for Illuminations.

erikthewise has a good point and I myself would not spend my valuable time standing around waiting and waiting when I could be spending that time have fun.:cool1: :drinking1 :wizard:  :3dglasses :wave2: ::yes::

We've eaten at the Coral Reef-- and none of our family eats seafood. There are other options. Check the menus at allears.net to see if they have choices for your family before you change your PS.

You won't see the fireworks from here, but we LOVED the restaurant in Canada... very turf since you don't care for the surf. I think I'd just try a restaurant that interested you and then find a spot with the masses.
