Do you buy tickets to this? Does it affect the crowds much for Epcot?

only admission to Epcot is required. the concerts and seating are free, but on a first come, first serve basis. there are multiple shows per day though.

the impact of the concerts themselves should be negligible. the F&W festival is heavier on the weekends due to locals however.

(and before someone asks, I believe OP is referring to the Eat to the Beat concert series held during the food & wine festival)

Just to point out that since the concerts are during the Food and Wine Festival, the later the shows, the "looser" the audience tends to get. So for a more relaxed and family friendly atmosphere, go to the earlier show. The last show of the night (there's three of them) will have lots of red beer cups in attendance as well.

On the flip side, even the most obscure acts tend to have a line stretching all the way to Italy for their first set--crowds tend to dwindle by the last set, even for the more popular artists.
