Hi I saw that Epcots character spot was on part of the top tier for fast pass... How many characters usually are there, and if they are the same ones who?
I'm just wondering if it is worth it to use a fast pass on.. How long are the lines with no fast pass?

3 of the Fab Five characters are there, usually Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy.

In my experience, if you go after 7 PM when most of Future World closes, you can pretty much walk right in. Maybe with a 5 or 10 minute wait at most, unless it's a super-duper-crowded week. And if it's a walk-in and there's no one behind you, sometimes you can get some extra one on one time! But if you go in the afternoon it might be a half hour wait.

The spot's a lot harder to see than it used to be and there aren't as many characters, so that's helped with the lines. So I would save the Tier 1 for Soarin' or Test Track if either of those interest you.

It was September when we went, but we went to Epcot one night, and there were cast members standing outside in the pavillion and ENCOURAGING people to come in and meet the characters because there was no one in there. "Come right in here, folks, and meet Mickey! No wait!" It was just my husband and myself, but we went through and met Mickey, Pluto, and Minnie. It was great!

Like Khara said, it must not be a crowded attraction in the evenings.

If you go during a holiday or during the summer, you definitely need to FP+ this attraction. On non-peak days/months, you can simply walk in. We were there last week and it was a 10 minute wait, if that, to see the characters.

Not worth it--worst Tier 1 choice at Epcot. See the green link in my signature for more info.

Our trip was in October. We weren't even planning on going in but happened across it in the evening. The CM was telling everyone that there was no wait. We thought, what the heck and headed in. He was right. Zero wait and the characters spent a ton of time with us. I highly recommend dropping in during the evening hours if you are there during non-peak times. No need for a FP+ then.

Exact same thing happened to use in early Nov. Walked straight in no wait saw Micky Minnie and Goofy.

When we went last week of Feb. there was no wait at around 10:30am when my husband took my son and again no wait at 7:30pm when I took my daughter (hit it on the way in / way out). If you have small kids or adults who can't ride the other things and it's a busy time it might be worth it but obviously not when we were there.

I can't remember if a Illumunations spot is a Tier 1 FP but then you'd need it for your whole group where with the Meet & Greet you could use some of your groups FP on the other rides and take a little one to the M&G.
